So i just had to format windows.

All the crap being reinstalled, jabber/mumble/overview is sorted.

But my dam chat windows.

Whenever i open a new window/private convo. It appears in a new window rather than attaching to the 2 seperate chat "Piles" that i have already made, with plenty of room.

Just an annoying issue and i see nothing in options.

Sure i'm overlooking something, this never happened before.

Cheers.

Eve remembers what you do. For example in the past I've re-installed and then when you first would loot multiple wrecks for example they would be separate. When I would stack several of them it would eventually remember and just auto do that next time. I seem to recall in not necessarily working the first time but it works. Try just continuing to stack the windows I think it will remember after a few times.

Just an FYI for next time, your window configuration files can be transferred to the new install. do some google searching on it but I recall them being in the same place as the chat log. I'm not at home currently or I'd check where they are on my compy. I might be able to look that up and repost it here when I get back.

I think if you hold shift and drag it to the header of another window it will stack them.

No shift necessary, just drag it to the pile and it will remember the next time. (might have to close it first to have it remember)

There is a check box in the Escape menu (General settings tab, left row) that lets you toggle between the two, so you're both right.
It reads 'Only stack windows if Shift Pressed'.

Also remember windows (any window in the client) only stack when they are not pinned.
