insurance is calculated off the building materials,
the gnosis has negligible material requirements and the insurance reflects this

Considering it goes for 70+ million on the market, that sucks

But I guess the driving logic behind that is if the insurance was based off of the market price, a person could build a ship, insure and then destroy it and make a profit..

So, this thing is never leaving hisec.

It has great agility meaning it's align time is about half that of a regular BC, so it is the safest BC to take out of highsec assuming you know how to pay attention. Well worth the extra cost.

I've seen it used as a gank boat too. (Not suicide gank, more like Aggro Fu gank like "hey that flashy noob I shot just swapped out his rookie ship for a Gnosis....")

Does not work every time though. I saw a would-be noob ganker get taken out by someone in an Amarr faction ship.

Looks like a lot of BPs were given away with a box set but they were copy-able(?)

still a high price.

Yea sure the insurance is low.
But have you ever tried to repair it from armor/hull damage?

By that, I'm totally fine with the low insurance.
Plus I really, really enjoy it for gate/station camping :D
