Multiple Character Training VS Multiple Accounts

It is real simple, the reason it costs more in real money to have multiple characters on one account than a second account, is that you are more likely to continue to pay for the 2nd account than you are to continue training your 2nd character with one account, so CCP encourages you to take the option that makes them the most money in the long run.

O_o I don't even see the reason why they need to be charging you to train multiple characters in the first place. It's redic and a money grab imo.

I think its perfectly ok.

on one hand

They don't want you to be self sufficient at the get go. example. you start eve online fresh player. (asuming you can train all toons in 1 account simultaneously)
1 toon for pewpew, (pvp/pve)
1 toon to make the pewpew (indy/mining)
1 toon to trade and make isk (Hauling/PI)

in this case you would not need to interact with anyone ever...

on the other hand

there is nothing stopping anyone to get multiple accounts to achieve the same purpose. (which is what i did, I opened a new account trained my miner/trader then when the training was complete (about 6-7 months) i transfered it to my main account)

so in a business perspective

1. they allow 1 toon to train everything. you are not restricted to a specific class so over time (Long time) you would be your own indy/miner/pewpew/trade toon.

2. if you can't wait a long time they will put a price on "convenience", you want to be indy and pewpew at the same time? sure but it will cost you extra (in the form of a new sub or same account character training)

though I would have to agree that they should make 2nd toon training at the same price (or cheaper since you can't fly them at the same time) as an 2nd account.
