Hi all!
I got the Alienware laptop pretty recently and noticed that Eve has "AlienFX" support. Does anybody know what it does except changing the entire theme to blue? Thanks =)

I believe it changes to different colors depending on in-game warnings. Shield and armor alarms, cargo capacity alarm, et cetera.

You need ti have the AlienFX command center software installed. Get if from Alienware I guess.

There use to be a setting in EVE that enabled AlienFX support. Dunno if it still there, but what it basically did it would change the FX of your lighting system for different warnings. First time that happened I almost had a bloody heart attack. It ties in with the Command centre software allowing the game to make changes the to fx via the alien command api.

If you dont have that installed I would question why. Also be carefull if you have to download it. The wrong software will still update your firmsware for the FX board causing it to fry which means a motherboard replacement.

I disabled it though since it is a unwanted distraction to the colors I like my keys to be.

It did cause issues as well though since if you were in a "Alert" state your FX would stay that color if you left the game forcing you to use the software to reset it back to normal.
