The Battle of Uedama

As you know from my last post, a war rages around Uedama, with our daily growing forces to fight off Code. attacks, last night was the bloodiest on all sides so far.

I awoke this morning to a message from an Amarr fighter “ Uedama burns Dar'nalaa , to the like of which god has never seen “

Indeed she was right Code had massive numbers in their gank fleets ( please look at the link below and take note of the members in code fleets, your freighter die to these pilots and to the corps and alliances they belong)

Our fighter did what they could to help free freighter from their Bumping Machariel. One Machariel went up in flames to a antigank gank , well done to the small group that did this, several other freighter where freed using webs to move into warp fast, when the could get the freighter pilots to duel that is. I also believe more Machs died at our hand to but can't confirm this as I type.

Some of the freed pilots thanked us for helping them, I believe, giving 250 million isk for trying and saving them, all of which will be spent on ship, one pilot came back after being freed in a combat ship and killed many code after seeing when we where up to, well done to you sir.

I'm not going to name names of our AG fighter, if you want to right your own report after this please do, the more people read the better,

So who won, both side for their own reasons, Code for overwhelming force, planning and well timed FC'ing. AG for the greatest stand ever made in fighting code, we cost them heavy, only losers where the freighter we could not help.

On a side note miners in the rest of eve must have had a gank free night, a win for them.

Fixed. Sorry to put a downer on the parade, but if you check the times on the link against every gank wave, there's a corresponding freighter or orca blown up. So they weren't very effective I'm afraid. Having trouble finding the Machariel kill as well, don't see it anywhere.

So what am I looking at here? I just see the normal CODE ships dying to concord.

Kill mails can be posted, you just need to remove or cover the victims name.

Good for you, unlike most AGers you actually do something. but you need to take it easy when saying things like "we cost them heavy" because unless you stopped a significant number of their ganks you didnt cost them.

they go in expecting to lose their ships, unless you are killing them before concord gets there you are making no real difference to them.

Ganking bump ships is a good start but while I aplaud your effort but if I were you i'd dial back the tooting of your own horn.

Actual damage Shocked

Looks like Jenn got one yesterday as well and then killed Loyal's alt in a Navy Omen. My compliments.

Aha, nice!

Maybe Jenn will inspire other AG's to stop complaining about injustice on the forum and learn to take action instead.

I looked on the map the next day 1034 ships lost in 24h, no other systems in eve was close to that, so it was a big event. Code needed to make a show because of our efforts, they call in every one they could to make a point, as you see from the members their fleet comprises of

Please explain why our efforts are pointless, code must know the numbers for freighter killing and we must effect that number or why would they bring larger fleets when we are around.

So as in all battles it's about numbers if our numbers are large enough at the right spot we stop the gank, Concord never stops it.

I'm not sure what this real damage crap is about, or why people say "you're concord whoring" the point is to make the gank harder, for real km you join r v b or fw.

I would have added Brave to the above list but some seem to fly with code, could be that these members can't cut null sec, who knows

It seems to me some people are missing the point but please do explain if I have it all wrong

Not saying they are pointless, we are saying they were ineffective. If you look at each gank wave on the day linked in the OP, 28th, you can see that a freighter or orca was destroyed. So yes, if your numbers are large and competent enough you will stop the gank, but they didn't on any of the examples yesterday. That is why people say you are 'concord whoring', because you are tagging onto km's but not actually preventing the gank target from being destroyed.

ISK isn't really a concern of theirs, otherwise they wouldn't be throwing taloses/brutixes at their targets all day. Large numbers of gankers in one place is more for fun and community than needing to 'make a show'.

'Real damage' is inflcting losses that aren't part of the plan. Making them lose a wave of ships and failing to kill the target is an accomplishment, but it didn't happen. A billion ISK machariel is something that wasn't intended to be replaced, so that is at least a small victory.
