Cant post km but if you look up corp Breaking-point they lost a lowsec small amarr tower. Seekers did over 5mill of damage over 40%

It was a test to see how much the seekers would shoot before giving up. It took 7 hours but the sleepers couldn't break the shield's passive recharge. So, they sieged their own tower to 10% structure. The seekers did finally pop it after.

Seeker dreads, to take down that POS you antagonized em with.

They don't agro switch very well. So you would indeed have to be in the corp and use POS guns on them.

Presently, sleepers do escalate. You can be dealing with 2 of them and have 4 more show up. And sleepers have "gotten better" too. Sleepers will also respond to what you are using on them. Use a web drone? They'll orbit you at 5KM. Use onboard web? They'll get just outside of range. This is likely the most advanced AI we've seen. Heck they are even smarter than gate campers.

So while it might take a very long time for sleepers to bash a POS, you never know what the next patch will have.

If you read the CSM minutes from today, they go over how the AI works a bit. These seekers have a shared command system that allows them to coordinate actions together. The stated goal was to have them function like a fleet. CCP is slowly ramping them up so we have a chance to get used to the new behaviors. Specifically it was mentioned that they will eventually go for pods, but they intentionally won't say when thats happening and don't plan to warn us what the next change will be. There was a mention of applying this system to other NPC's as well.

Fingers crossed.

I have played this game awhile so just kinda yawn at this new element atm- however would love to hear small fleets of these things warping to any scanned signatures and missions and harrassing ;)

A bear mission running getting damage in a different resist say for 100dps might freak him/her out a bit :P

a potential exists here for sure. In time.

EDIT: speaking for myself only

I see a few of these "har har the carebears are going to get it!" comments as if this is some attack on bears, missions, or whatever.

But if I knew of a disco camp in lowsec that needed some... excitement... tagging some sleepers and warping in would have the effect of bringing those sleepers into the smart bomb range.

This could go in all kinds of ways.
