We could use kittens! Their static electrical fields generated by their furry awesomeness would provide the spark to light these furballs of doom.

the rail guns while a bit ugly do fit the science and style one expects, what gets me is that my 1400mm howie has two barrels, its not called a dual 700mm arty Ugh

It doesn't look right. First of all on the turret barrels (I am expecting those to be the barrels) there is no opening for the slug to come from. Also, there is a front face wall where two beveled bumps extend from seemingly matter.

So... fix?

Just looked at the image and the projetile would be fired from a hole BETWEEN the two 'barrels'.

The 'barrels' are then quickly magnatised from base to tip, accelarating the projectile forward which would leave the gun, inline with and exacly between the two 'barrrels'.

The thing you mistake for barrels are not hollow barrels but magnetic induction 'rails'.

Hope this helps to clarify .

Right, so unless the charge materializes between the two coils, where does the charge come from?

Need stuff moved? Push Industries will handle it. Serving highsec, lowsec and nullsec - and we do it faster and more reliably than anyone else. Ingame channel: PUSHX

How does it get in between the rails?

It rolls down a little chute to a small staging platform you can't see.

Okay so what I'm basically hearing is that we're pretending that the weapon just works.

We are also pretending that our submarine game is actually in space, that warp travel actually works, and that unguided missiles can track targets.

they made the railguns with alot of exessive extra's on it. when the power is high enough some break off and get sucked into the magnetic forcefields and get shot towards the target, hence they always miss cause they are not stable in the field but bzzing arounf.
