EVE New Citizens Q&A

This isnt a request for help (for a change!) but a huge thank you to everyone who has assisted me in my endless questions, but here and in the game itself.

Despite what many people say, there is a hugely helpful bunch of people around. Since I started a few days ago I have received:

1. +3 implants from someone who helped me with my questions ingame
2. Garmur Frigates from someone who gave them out
3. And most importantly, a brand new character today with 3 million skillpoints.

One of the people was a self confessed Corp Thief & a Pirate, yet he went out of his way to help me get a proper start that most people simply does not get.

I promised not to name any names, but thank you! And to everyone else who has contributed with advice, tips and knowledge.

It sounds like he is trying to balance his karma

Or he's playing the long game and making sure people keep joining the game so he has more allies... or targets.

to be fair;

I'm pretty sure a lot of the posters in NCQ&A fit that bill. After all:
more players = more content!
better players = Better Content!

i will second the OP, I have just started..and Ive honestly only met great people so far. I'm sure ill run into the not so nice in the future but hey..that's when i get to start to shoot things :P so. big shout out to all you helpful people as well from me. Its appreciated!

Phig has a point , you could try a hand at this to get the pvp shakes out of yer system early

I may kill you and take all of your things but if you convo me and act in a proper manner, I will give you all the information you need to mitigate the risk of people like me, not only that I can help you with many other aspects of the game. If you take a step back and look at the big picture, the knowledge I or folks like me provide after killing you and/or taking your stuff is much more valuable.

I've seen first hand many cases where people had difficulties and gave up playing. I personally love scouring through the newb forums to find people to help. If you're asking for nothing more than a bit of my time so that I may explain something, I will do my best to help. It's a pleasure helping new people. However, do not let my kindness mislead you! If I saw you in 0.0 I would still blap you. ;)
