Launcher woes - greyed out 'Play'-button

In about 1 in 2 login attempts I get a greyed out play-button in the launcher, and have to restart the laucher for another attempt. Happens with both my accounts. I'm usually a very patient fellow, but I must admit this annoys the **** out of me.

I get the same problem - it's just a greyed out play button (and the bar at bottom of the launcher never goes yellow).

Try running your Eve application as Administrator. That seemed to work for me... Could be an authorisation issue.

not sure how to launch as admin, but i have been trying to login for about 30 mins.

getting a little annoyed with this launcher thing.....when was this implemented?

this feature is garbage.

a fix and reply would be nice.

despite several attempts and other stuff(restart comp), nothing....i like the game and all, but i will enjoy the extra $30 a month for something else.

logging in should not be a problem.

EDIT: either way, if this is a problem tomorrow ill unsub and chalk it up. i have very little patience for this stuff at this point.

ccp should have this stuff figured out by now.

I'm allso having this gray launcher button problem. Login how ever usually works at third try... super annoying!!! Evil

Ran it as administrator, seems to work, what changed from dec 26 til now?

I have been running it as admin forever. Still greyed out 'play' button in about 1 in 2 tries. I'm just running exefile.exe, because I don't have patience for this launcher crap.

Same problem. It's actually a bit of relief finding it's not just me, as at first I suspected it might be my HDD shitting itself and not running whatever pre-launch verifications I'm assuming it's got, or possibly some authentication thing.

It's been entirely random if I get the progress bar filled or not, but after running the repair tool it seems to work more than not.

Ive found that when it is greyed out, to just leave it for a few hours when going to bed or doing other stuff - for some reason it sorts itself out. Before you know it, its up and running again... Weird

Might be donloading without any indication.

A few hours? you must be joking this issue happens all the time when you try to play.

I cleared the cache on the launcher and its worked fine and loaded up for me

Excellent advice, the launcher repair only worked properly when I launched it direct from the eve folder and not from the launcher, then using the exe. direct from the folder too

Also seeing this grey "Play" - however, it usually seems to sort itself out if left for a few minutes. It shouldn't need to be left, I grant, but just start doing some web browsing and wait for something to kick in (just as you find an interesting article, of course).
