Can we get a "meet the devs" page somewhere on eveonline.com?

You know, just a list of all the devs, a picture of them and their avatar, what team theyre on, their specialty, and a short little bio.

Figure devs are part of the community, a big part, and we want noobs to get into the community, and we rarely get a chance to actual learn anything about the devs personally aside from the few of us who can afford to go to fanfest and pester them XD

of course whether and what information is posted for each dev would be entirely up to that dev to yes/no it (some people dont like being facebooked), maybe if possible even have an area for all the old ex-ccp employees that left their mark, just because they left CCP doesnt mean their contributions should go forgotten

just an idea really.

yeah, but for the vast majority of EVE players, made evident by the fact that iceland doesnt sink into the ocean during fanfest, cant afford or make time to literally leave their country for a week just to meet some people they would otherwise love and value having knowledge of.

besides, it would take less time to set this page up than for every dev to speak with every eve player who came to fanfest, plus its alot easier to read about someone then listen to their half-drunk descriptions of their part-time college job as Superman of the planet Mars (i hear alcohol is very popular at fanfest, and in my work experience, getting anything out of someone completely wasted is relatively impossible, and when the job requires you to speak relatively the same discussion over and over again with people, the beers add up fast)

I know theyve done the dev spotlights before

but community page itself is rather not-oft-visited unless a specific devblog is in the forums, and people arent going to sift through 10 years of dev blogs to maybe find a dev spotlight, so it would be nice if they were all in a nice tight orderly page, something that looks official and shiny.

unfortunately, I suspect it would fuel the 'oh god, eve is dying' thing that happens, every time a 'named' developer leaves for another job.

Sure, reasonable people understand that it's a job, and people move jobs every so often. But there are plenty of unreasonable people out there.

But there's a good thing with Devs leaving CCP.

Their player accounts are thawed and they can go back to creating explosions, erh, I mean interactive content again ;)

CCP Greyscale: As to starbases, we agree it's pretty terrible, but we don't want to delay the entire release just for this one factor.

I might accept a CCP member for social reasons, they probably have interesting things to say about their work, lives and Iceland but I wouldn't recruit them for game knowledge of PVP ability. P

(Yeah, if I end up on CSM, the developers might start whining a bit.) Twisted

EVE is becoming shallow and puerile; it will satisfy neither the veteran nor the "WoW" type crowd in the transition.

This being EVE on the Internets, such information would immediately be used to harass the devs in RL, which is something they're trying to avoid. Do other MMO's have this? I haven't seen one that does.

Like how 2 TOP C level devs just left and was kept quiet? COO and CTO chief operations Officer Horodal and Chief Technical Offixer Fannar just left and not a word from them.

For those that dont know... a COO is a MEGA BIG DEAL. He's one of the highest execs. And CTO is right up there too.

Yes you are correct, its just a job, people change them etc etc... but when ANY COMPANY has C level execs that keep leaving, its news. And its big news.

If Googles COO left, there would be mass pandemonium and theyre stock work crash basically

The CFO chief financial officer and CMO chief marketing officer both quit within the past year too.
Not saying eve is dying or that the Red Coats are coming... but like

Imagine this was Sony or Facebook or Apple or some big mega tech corp and all their C-Level COOs CFOs CMos CTOs all just quit... it would be on the news, it would be in wall street journal... it would also prob be in future history books marking the demise of said company.

Seriously dude, think its all kosher? Go read up on econ101 and 201 and then some basic business info... **** is getting real for ccp with all this.

If CCP losing any more C-Level execs (hint they only have ceo left) they gonna have to change thwir name ad take C outta it

Google swapped out 4 c-levels in 2011, they seem to be doing alright.

Please do realize that CCP is not a publicly traded company and as such does not need public-facing figures with titles just to run the company. Also CCP is not american and don't hold their business values, nordic countries are mostly run by a CEO with senior level advisors instead of c-level bobbleheads, as they might be too expensive for the workload they do.

Yeah I'd like a list so that people that aren't trawling the forums 24/7 actually know who they are and have reason to like more than just Punkturis and Karkur :P
