Sometimes I'll go a while where I can't (or don't want to) play the game and thought some sort of account level that let me train but nothing else for a lower price would be nice. Maybe instead of paying the normal price you pay $5 a month and your training continues, but you can't log on to the game. While in that state maybe it would not take into account any implants or stat boosts and just train at "base" levels. The training would certainly be slower, but it would at least still progress.

So someone who goes away for 6 months could pay $30 to keep training going at a basic level instead of $71.70 (the current 6-month package deal). If they want to log in they'd have to upgrade to a regular account status.

This comes up every so often and it's usually met with a resounding No! from thne community, mostly because all you're encouraging is a cheaper way to train characters for resale. I'm not sure that CCP would see subsidizing your business venture as a smart move on their part.

As much as I would like the ability to do that....I know that as many people would use it to actually just keep training of some form going on your main...a lot more would use it as a cheap way of training chars for sale. As convenient as it would be its not really worth it when you factor that in.

I think my really sparse (to not existent) play time is worth the 15 I spend to throw in skills to train. Day comes I don't think its worth it....I will unsub. And I will keep my stuff, don't ask. If I return I will use it lol.

That and ccp is well aware as are players that certain alts take a while to cook up. They don't want or need cheap and sleazy cap/mommie/titan chars-alts being made for $5 a month. I as a player don't want that either. want the cap alt that sits in station for 6+ months make the isk to buy the plex or spend that 15.
