Redistribution of implant points

Hello all!

I just want to check something. My current Charisma implant only gives +1. If I get the implant that adds +5 and then do a Neural Remap, will some or all of those points still stay with Charisma or will I be able to give the extra 4 points to another attribute?

Thanks in advance! Smile

Hi!
No, implants add just +1 or whatever to their certain skill. You can redistribute only the points in the attributes section.
If you get +5 in something, you can change it from 17+5 to a maximum of 27+5

You remap base attributes. Implants are counted to your base attribute adter that.

So if you Char at 20 now with a +5 implant it will actually be 25.
If you remap Char to 17 it will become 22 (17+5)

Be careful not to waste your remaps chasing short term gains.

Best to use a generic mapping such as max Int & Per until you have 6-12 months experience. "Tau" has a lot of good posts on the topic.

I'd advise from striving for +5 immediately, time spent getting the Cybernetic V could be better spent to whatever you actually want to do. Specially if you expect a few pod losses associated with living in Null.

Get on Comms, or die typing.
