Smartbombing at gates is perfectly fine if not very productive. A bunch of shuttle kills isn't really something I'd be proud to have on my KB if I cared about such things.

Well if they have 100mill-1bill in implants in ... and the crying afterwards, its the cod crowd remember? #rekt #tears

Get with it dude, nobody kills for killmails or ISK anymore. #yamadbro?

Long ago I made an Khanid character. I breezed over to Amarr in my noob ship to pick up some +3s and was promptly destroyed upon undocking.

Wrong place. Wrong time. Good lesson.

In any case, it's the only time I've been SBed in high sec in my eight years playing. The odds of hitting a smartbomber before he's Concorded are so slim that it's not worth worrying about. Even with a billion in implants.

Funnily enough, yesterday I had my leopard hit by that exact same set-up along the Dixie-Hek corridor (probably in Uttindar, as Lloyd mentioned), thankfully it was only one pulse so I made it through the gate intact. If this becomes a common theme then I'd just switch to a tanked frig/inty to get around, it's not a huge loss of time.

And in regards to the behaviour of this latest generation, then I'm afraid people simply need to develop thicker skin, or just block them. There's always been cases of individuals hiding behind screens, spewing out whatever vitriol that fills them, or just winding others up for the pleasure of it. The problem is that this sort of behaviour has become, dare I say it, almost fashionable of late. Unfortunately, people get wound up far too easily (I'm thinking of those select CODE victims), so it's not going to go away until people learn to take a deep breath before putting their fingers on the keyboard.

Forum rules

3. Ranting is prohibited.

A rant is a post that is often filled with angry and counterproductive comments. A free exchange of ideas is essential to building a strong sense of community and is helpful in development of the game and community. Rants are disruptive, and incite flaming and trolling. Please post your thoughts in a concise and clear manner while avoiding going off on rambling tangents.

36. Posting of kill reports outside of the Crime & Punishment forum channel is prohibited.

More often than not, posts of this nature are made with inflammatory intent and are designed to promote trolling and flaming. Therefore, the posting of links to kill reports from any third party site, or the direct copy-pasting of kill reports from in game is prohibited on all forum channels of the EVE Online Forums, with the exception of the Crime & Punishment Channel.

Specific rules regarding the omission of pilot names apply in this instance. Further details can be found in the rules stickies in the Crime & Punishment forum channel.
