Just got back into the game after not playing a couple years and decided to get into exploration. I can't seem to find anything that tells me what I can do with some of this stuff (other than sell it). Some of these things must be used in production of something, but most blueprints I look list only mineral requirements. Is there a 'used for' resource of some type that tells what I can do with this stuff?

Except for the decryptors, all those items can be sold to NPC buy orders. The decryptors can be sold to other players on the market, but most of them are not very valuable.

Decryptors are used and needed in T2 Invention, so they are really the only things of value.

Well, Carbon can be sold to NPC orders.

OR

You can go into the more shady side of EVE and try to sell it through a contact as a Charon.

Some people still fall for that Blink

Right-click on the Carbon. Select View Market Details.

Look in the lower half of the window.

All the buy orders that are longer than 90 days are NPC buy orders.

Do note that the buy order is only 100 isk less in jita, with the low value of these items, you have to ask yourself if it is worth it to travel to an out of the way station for just a little bit more isk. Especially if you already need to go to Jita and/or the NPC station closest to you is many jumps out of the way.

Bottom line is you can sell all of it.

A lot of the meat and potatoes of exploration will be decryptors, which are consumable items used as one step in a process to create tech 2 items.

There are a lot of things that drop in exploration. Of course you need to venture outside of highsec or at least well traveled HS. Often in high population HS all you see is left overs. People run a cargo scanner on the cans and cherry pick the good ones. If you are in a site with empty cans it's likely it's been pick over already. These sites regularly drop blue print copies* (BPCs) , and data cores along with a wide array of odds and ends used in T2 production. In general the really nice stuff is in LS/NS/WH of course. Using most of the stuff would require you do invention, and you'll not have everything you need from just exploration, but the BPCs are often easy to run and it can make sense to manufacture them if you are away from a trade hub as the module is generally more demand for them then contracting the BPCs.

* For example every fueled armor and shield repairers in the game are made from dropped BPCs.
