20 Day Multiple Character Training

Hello everyone,

i start this thread to hopefully get rid of several dozen/hundrets of Support Tickets.

When i first wanted to use my 20 Day- Gift i wasnt 100% sure about my upcomming skill plan, so i waited .

I wasnt afraid of waiting, because the Info-screen in the Account Management showed me following:

today its obviously the 13.01 to i wanted to take my last chance to use it, but it does not work.

I dont know how people in other languages handle stuff like this, but in Germany, if you say "until the 13.01", the 13.01 is included. I hope this was also your intent CCP and it will work until the evening, so people get the chance to use their Multiple Character Training like it was supposed to work, without sending multiple Support Tickets.

If it says so then it's a fail from CCP side i would asume... that option ended on the 11th January from what i can tell.

for my understanding the possibility to receive the bonus by activating accounts and retreiving the items ended on 11.
But like the screenshots (in my opinion) clearly shows, the character training was able to use until the 13, today.

if its the wrong subforum, please show me the right one. Maybe a Mod can move it?

The forums aint going to help you at all.
With basic forum knowledge, you would have known it just the community here.
If you want to know the official CCP answer it is just a petition away.

Again, I feel like you have a point. Or at least it should have stated more clearly when it actually ended (say: Offer ends on 2015-01-13 at 00:00 UTC).

P.s. CCP please fix all the different date systems. Use ISO-8601 to make reading stuff easy.

I was hit by the same surprise, and for the same reason. Not that the 13.35€ value is a big deal for me financially, but it's always annoying to miss a free thing I could have used.

I bet the OP is the type of person that shows up in a restaurant three minutes before it closes and expects a full three course meal.

Get used to the fact that until means "up to and not including" in this case. And it is not only CCP who work this way. It's the same for Blizzard, if they don't state an hour on the day at which an offer ends. Regardless where a customer comes from.

Edit: I am German too btw. and I expected the offer to be unavailable after 2015-01-12 23:59:59.

Remove standings and insurance.

Just file a petition. Odds are they'll award you the 20 days because it's pretty clear the person doing the translation goofed.

That said, if an offer is due to expire on date X, I fully expect it to be valid until date X, 23:59:59 GMT, not a whole day earlier.

(I'm German, too. From the text I would have definitely expected the offer to still be valid on the 13th.)

i already did, i just hoped this will get read earlier, so problems can get solved before hundrets of petition float in.

ya, but this is simple a fault and not ok in my opinion. I really hope ccp will agree. If someone tells you you've got 1 hour to finish something, your time does not end at the beginning of the hour, but after it is over. So i expected the date of 13.01 to be.

i am new to eve, 20 days are a lot of time to me. Because of 2 funreals and christmas/new year i had not a lot of time to browse through the perfect usage of those 20 days. Thats why i wanted to collect impressions, guides and tipps until the very last day to not waste a single hour of them. In my opinion this is a legal move, due to the fact that it should be aviable on the day i wanted to use it.
