Was there a character Wipe(reset) in the Past?

Coming back to the game and,..

1)Had to reset char pic, and look....(fine doesn't effect mush, like the new looks)

2)Was in a starter ship?....(Last left with multiple ships)

3)And had about all skills reset at unknown?!?!


Okay, When I left this game I had six ships( Executioner, Tormentor, Mallor, Sigil, a Modded Venture, and others) that have now aparently vanished with all the skills I had built around them. The minor issues of my contacts giving me missions I have no hope of doing would be dealt with IF I had my bigger ships.

IS THIS A GLITCH?
or
Am I starting from scratch yet again?

They went from pics to 3D avatars a while ago, so that's why the char pic reset.

They changed some skills and refunded some points that you can re-assign, check your character sheet. This is like instant training. They also changed prerequisites for quite a few skills.

Your multiple ships should still be there; check your assets. If not, check your wallet journal / transactions, see if it goes back far enough to indicate whether you've sold them. If not, petition, perhaps they can tell you what happened to your ships.

Not Quite, No points and even the most basic skills(shields and others) are lv 2 or 3 not 4 & 5's I left them at.

Nothing in assests-> first place i checked. No notice or any transactions, petition(via Game) was launched. Besides I knew I was coming back to the game at some point and would not have sold the games. Not to mention the disappearance of the starting contacts, and have to deal with lv 1 contacts.

Playing my second character, lot less lost(Barely started him), and I'll wait on a response. Worst comes to worse I'll have to delete this problematic character and rebuild on a year and a half of skills and mining....

might have been hacked if you go to suspicious sights, i know alot of the hackers like to get the character podded with alpha clone a couple dozen/hundred times for the "lulz" and the extra FU it gives the victim

While he is an '09 toon so he is old enough for that the venture did not exist in game until long after the avatar changes. He seems to be obviously confused about something.

OP are you sure that you only had one trial account and that you are not getting 2 different accounts confused?

OP, I bet you reactivated the wrong account. I've had that: "where the fck are my skills and assets!", "uhm... hmm... wait. Oh crap".

Also, if you had any assets in corp hangars instead of personal ones then you might have lost access to them if the corp dissolved or you got removed by the CEO.

This would be true if my credit bal wasn't correct! I only had two characters(1 account) and both were reset.

It is weird.

As nobody (any of the other many many characters) had that, none of the active or inactive ones.

The only "purge" CCP recently did was clearing all names of inactive trial accounts that never were subbed (as they likley won't return anyway).

Upload your EVEboard...so we can see you have NO skills at all...

Well, I partially agree with that.


I understand to ask on the forums if it happened. If it did, saved you the time of the petition.

But as it clearly hasn't happened, yes a petition would be wise to see what exactly happened and if CCP can assist

As might be apparent, there have been no character resets that anyone knows of. Your case looks special, and should really be addressed by a GM at CCP. Please file a support ticket about this. Good luck resolving this!

I did on 2015-01-13..... Still Nothing!
(I mean a simple, "We are looking into it" would be nice)

But I know you guys are busy with the new stuff, so I'll sit and wait!

Well, ISD isn't busy with it, they are just volunteer players that help with "trivial" stuff like forum moderation / helping new players.

They aren't CCP and also don't have any "inside info" regarding petitions.

All you can do is hope.
