What if everybody would join (by new game rule) a faction millitia? Pros and cons, shallow and deep repercusions, bad or good idea?

I forgot to say I am looking for a sort of elaborated comment. Like: 'yay pvp in high sec' or 'no, that'd ruing my ganking miners hobby' sort of arguments.

Its more of a "people already ***** too much about pvp in highsec as it is, this would cause a whine-fest overload." argument.

It would be interesting to see a day when NPC corps would occasionally declare war on each other.

No, just no, the game would suffer badly if every capsuleer suddenly had half the population at war with them, presumably the split woul dbe by corporation - every HS station would be camped, all of LS would be FW, NS would be the relatively safe zone for isk earning and that's just the beginning.

It is normal during the Winter for the daily average to rise and the bad news is the increase is much smaller compared to last year this time. The next summer will be crucial because if the current decline continues we might see daily average drop to 2007 levels. CCP will probably go on panic mode and hurt the game even more.

By now quite a few cons have been listed.

I would like to add that I fail to see any pros for this suggestion. Right now everyone who wishes to pew pew can easily do so. What would be the benefit of forcing those that chose to not participate in faction warfare into a side? A side they can't decide on.

The same would happen as if any other single play style gets forced and the others removed or disregarded. It wouldn't be EVE any more.

EVE is about choices and numerous play styles. Forced war would not be EVE, it would be something like "EVE: Deathmatch".
