Faction Ammo and loyalty points

I'm not sure where to begin here. There is a series of faction ammo that I would like to begin to manufacture but I honestly don't know where to start.

I understand to upgrade it requires running missions and earning loyalty points. But for Caldari Navy I have no idea. The LP store at my station doesn't seem to offer them, I don't know if the agents in my system will be able to offer them.

Kind of running around blind here not knowing exactly what to look for.

Any insight would be appreciated.

Search this database (Ellatha) to find out which NPC corp offers the ammo in their LP store and run missions for that corp.

When you look at the LP store in game it has filters, make sure you aren't filtering out the ammo you are looking for.

As for manufacturing it, you can't really make it. What you'll need to do is make the appropriate T1 Ammo, then exchange that and LP for the faction variant.

You don't manufacture faction ammo. U exchange regular ammo + some lp for it. That being sad, more often than not there's gonna be a better return in terms of ISK for your LP, check this out https://www.fuzzwork.co.uk/lpstore/

Ty for the replies. I have found a station that offers what I'm looking for and have started the LV 1 missions.

Hopefully all goes well =)

its an incredibly poor isk/lp conversion ratio unless youre shipping it to null sec and flogging it there.

If you have faction standing, you never have to run level 1 again.

If you have Connections 3 trained, you only need to run ONE level 1 mission.

You are better off building a standing with a high ISK/LP corp.

Selling faction ammo is really only useful to "use up" excess LP with a corp with poor LP/ISK ratio.

Example - Caldari Navy has horrible LP/ISK ratio but you decide to mission for them anyway to improve your standings in order to get better trade deals at Jita which is run by the Caldari Navy. You end up with excess LP and Caldari Navy ISK/LP is horrible. You decide to cash it in for some Caldari Navy Scourge Torpedo because you know of a remote system that pays OK for them.

Other than unusual situations like that you are far better off missioning for someone else. Selling SOE probe launchers for example will return roughly times the ISK per LP that CN do.

ty for the feedback. I just wanted to start producing my own missiles as opposed to purchasing them. I'm going through aprox 8000 units a week now so I figured it is about time to learn how to build them.

Just remember opportunity cost.

If missioning for Caldari Navy gets you 5000 CN missiles but running the identical mission for a different corp and then selling mining implants or something gets you enough ISK to buy 15,000 missiles you are behind running the CN missions unless you want the CN standings for some other reason like FW or Jita trading rates.

I think the thing that Irks me most is the use of the 3rd party tools. In the game it shouldn't be necessary . I understand EVE is a HUGE game and we learn off the backs of others but it would be nice it is was simplified. If I click on a faction itme that I would like to produce / upgrade maybe CCP could let us know what corporations to look for in the "industry" section of the description.

I know it is a small gripe but a valid one.

Manually fly through every station the desired faction has a LP store in, or you can just open a database because someone else did it for you.

The information is there, not just in the form you are hoping it to be in.

NO. Just no.

That is just the standard "EVE must be made easy" request.

As with many things, you have to work for your stuff and research how to do it.
Be glad someone made that database, otherwise you would have to fly all over the place yourself...

P.s. using your LP for just faction ammo is one of the worst things you an trade your LP for. As mentioned, there are items that have a way better convertion rate, after which you can buy the ammo and still have ISK left over.

I don't know about other ammo, but some kinds Republic Fleet ammo gets conversion near the same LP/isk conversion as SOE items, if you don't have to take into the account the extra time required to acquire the T1 ammo.

If you manufacture the T1 ammo, you can profit a little more because you make about 20% profit over the minerals to make the ammo. Of course there are a lot of types of projectile ammo and some of it is cheaper on the market than it's mineral value.

You can further increase your net income by delivering it to the right location to sell.
