A quick update..

I woke up this morning with a venture and gas mining skills! I did it again.....
I dont think i have any other choice, but to accept it is out of my reach and that this game has a "mind of its own"!

Lets call it a "subtle request" to all the lonely deranged space bandits out there!

This starts as soon as I am in the process of logging in or loading up the forums.

Im beginning to see what you mean....

Sleep deprivation is extremely under estimated. Thank goodness for the new queues, I can sit down rationally, plan a ship and throw in the skills, rather than throw things in to keep the queue full and keep forgetting what I needed.
As a general thing, a player, I don't think I could ever sell my pilot .... (well maybe on the cheap for some people to shoot repeatedly or something (besides obviously, the fact I will never sell accounts or characters).) because I see something I want to do and I train for it. Mix of III and IV skills in Planetary Interactioin, I think I have diplomacy and stuff but I am not a high sec mission runner? Most of my skills are in industrial and mining things. I looked at my skills on one of these chart things ... and it was pretty scary, I thought, "I must fly cheaper things and use an empty pod. I am a really soft target!"Shocked

I keep saying, "Anyone that dies to me, should biomass from shame." P

EVE is becoming shallow and puerile; it will satisfy neither the veteran nor the "WoW" type crowd in the transition.

Hello I am an expert on delusions of grandeur (check my sig)

I put what you done down to simple desire for change and risking a lot to achieve it.

I have little to lose and so I will happily risk more. older players are stuck in their cyber palaces of hard worked game hours..and you cant leave your box

start again buddy...truly start again whatever you were doing...do the opposite , go hard or go home ect ect

It'll work I promise

OP, i think most of us that have played the game for several years have experienced this. after reading your post, i laughed, because i saw myself in it.

i've literally done the same things. i'll watch a youtube video from some guy like wingspan and think - yes! - i've got to do that. i'll queue up a bunch of skills and then a week later go - what the F was i thinking? then i'll switch to something else.

i think it's just natural for most people to bounce around with the skill queue. in the end, if you play eve long enough, you'll be O.K.

Well, in all honesty, PVE has, and always will, be my bread and butter Smile
I am a sucker for anything lore or storyline related, the more immersive the better!
Ive always had a hard time immersing my self in PVP activities in MMO's, im much more of a PVE (carebear, if you must Cool)

Im glad so many people can relate haha, makes me more at ease.
But yeh, the cravings for more and more are truly hard to control in this game, maybe its an intentional design choice by CCP? Big smile

I will most likely keep doing this, till i end up in the same situation as those of you with 150m+ SP, if i havent gotten insane and ran away by then!

Hello and welcome to the glorious GD section of the forums- and thank you that your first post wasn't a whine or a cry for nerfs.

I refer to the problem you mentioned as the EVE Paradox: We all try to plan everything carefully to avoid mistakes- and yet, if everything is running smoothly, the game quickly becomes so boring and meaningless that you are very likely to unsubscribe.

ISK and personal success is mostly meaningless in the greater pattern- content is what matters and keeps you hooked to this game.

I found failure to be the best personal content creator.
Embrace your fails, don't be afraid to lose ships or lots of ISKs or potential Skillpoints. Every setback will get you out of your comfort zone and into a much more interesting and fun gameplay.
And fun is the main reason to play videogames, after all.

I disagree that Isk and Personal sucess is mostly Meaningless its the isk i invested in skills that keeps me paying subs or I wouldve uninstalled a long time ago However I do agree Failure is the Best Content Creator And my Desire to succeed in my Delusions of grandeur its what keeps me Playing this Odd Video game in the first Place.

I shall condescend to respond to your rather pedestrian post, which I found here in this quasi-slum I frequent in order to fulfill the requirements of Noblesse Oblige. Mind you, the petty considerations you entertain in your unrefined mind, though perfectly suited to one of your stature, hold no interest for one such as myself, as I am accustomed to navigating my intellect in more superior lines of thought. However, I shall endeavor to add what I can in the same sense that adding a touch of soap to the cheek of a waif can but reveal the slimmest potential lying beneath the accrual of ordure.

It is not necessary for one such as myself to entertain any such delusions to which you refer, OP, as grandeur is my quotidian routine. Alas, such splendor as is my custom would indeed seem grand to you, however to me it is merely the quality of accoutrement to which I am most habituated given the circumstances of my birth, and bloodline.

Were I you, and most fortunately I am not, I would not agitate my hopes with regard to achieving (through the menial efforts of the lowborn stature which is your wont) anything remotely resembling the affluence to which I belong, as punctilious as your labors may be. Rather, it would seem wise to resign yourself to your station in life, and appreciate the truth of the statement nature offers you when comparing your baseborn condition to that of my own.

Thank-you very much for your interest.
