Can't find a hole to null and am in a pickle.

I have been flying around high/low sec (getting killed 3 times) all night and I have not found ONE single wormhole to null so I can make some decent cash exploring. I have made 1.1 mill in about 4-5 hours. Is there something I'm doing wrong here?

Granted I am relatively new to exploring and training for an astero. But there is no way in hell I can live off of 1 mill every day. And I know that is an absurdly low amount of money for any way to make isk.

Help me..... ;_;

Wormholes connecting highsec and nullsec are the rarest ones, so you won't find much of those around.

Find a wormhole to a wormhole system (seems to lead to unknown space), enter it, open up wh.pasta.gg, make it a trusted site in your Eve browser, hit the refresh-looking button at the top of the page, figure out the likely static wormholes for that system, keep hopping wormhole systems until you find a null exit, BOOKMARK BOTH SIDES OF EACH HOLE if you want to use the same path back to highsec, go run sites in null, don't die, go back to highsec, sell your stuff, count your ISK.

Scan in the WHs. Same as null now as far as pirate profession sites. If you are looking for relic/data.

I mean do you honestly think a new player who really knows very little is gonna jump in a ship and reap a fortune? Does not work that way as you will see.

And you can fly to null.

If you don't mind the danger, you may travel via Thera.

Just scan for a NS in your wormhole chain. So don't just skip over wormholes leading to wh space. Jump in and take a look! You might need to get a program like siggy to get your sigs straight. You have a much higher chance of getting, for example, a c2 with a HS and c2 static that connects to a c2 with a NS static. Much, much easier. Hit me up in chat if you have any questions.

Ok.

Eve is not a slot machine.

You're trying to do a thing - and expecting something in return. Eve doesn't really work like that.

I like to fly around a lot in WH's and check things out.

Im saving my cash I make from running missions in a Loki, making about 5-6 million ISK for a lvl 3 mission. I could be doing level 4 SOE missions, but I am raising standings with a different corporation. So I can do a thing, make some cash, stabilize my income, save some ISK instead of losing it on a whim, in hopes of a huge cash reward.

I am saving up to buy a tower. Because I like to fly around in WH space. I found a C1 with 7 towers that were offline. I decided I want to move in a similar hole, and mine sites, as well as run relic sites, as well as kill sleepers and salvage their wrecks. Having a POS will help me to do all that in a short amount of time.

What I am getting at is, life playing Eve is a lifestyle choice.

I am in a corp. I plan to apply for a different corp in same alliance and when they ask me what I can do I will have a resume of skills and activities I can tell them about. They will give that a glance and then point out what I am doing wrong, and I will be able to streamline my pursuits with a group of like minded individuals.

I joined a really good Indy corp when I first started. I was ratting in low sec in a rifter with salvager fitted, and making enough cash to pay for the rifter until I got blown up by a player, weekly. The Indy corp taught me how to stabilize my income, ask good questions, learn some basic mechanics, instead of treating Eve like a casino.

I really like to fly to null sec and do some ratting, because it is fun for me. Some day I will likely find those huge cash rewards for finding that one relic site in null sec.

Meanwhile. Flying through gate camps aren't that hard. Learn to use your star map to see where people have been killing ships. Fly a T1 frigate with a MWD for escaping bubbles. Likely speed tank the frigate, fit with scanner probes, and relic analyzer, and a cloak. It will be a pain in the arse but you CAN do it.

A good nullsec gate camper will pop a cloaker, especially when the cloak pilot is a newbie with slowboat flying skills and a lack of PvP experience.

Asteros aren't a ticket to wealth. Covop ships can do the same for a third the price and frankly if you slap a protype cloak on a T1 explorer you're fine for WH space as you pretty much just need to cloak when probing. Exploring really takes being good at and enjoying scanning down sites and wormholes. You shouldn't need a null exit very often if you're living out there. Just find one, live in the remote high relic area pocket for a few days while you scan down sites and rake in the isk. Then just scan your way back into WH space and work your way towards a hisec exit. If they were easy to find super highways they'd be over crowded.

If someone is having problems with it solo I'd recommend joining a wormhole corp. You can do the sleeper sites once your corp mates clear the rats(which are good loot). They get you watching their back with d-scan, combat probes or exit humping while you get them clearing the rats out for you. It's win/win.

Pretty much this, if you are in a cloaky just fly to 0.0 and do the old mwd+cloak trick, I fly around 0.0 every day usually doing anywhere between 50-70 jumps and see maybe one decent gate camps.

Be careful in 0.0 though because a lot of people I know just map out the sites and wait for people to try and ninja them. Get you a few kills an evening doing that.

You need to think of wormholes like entering a forest, most paths wander from clearing to clearing not directly to your destination.
Certain wormholes have a greater chance of leading to Null than others C2 and C3 holes have the greatest likelehood of leading to null they can be identified visually so they are probably a good starting point from HS to limit the travelling, but almost every chain will get there eventually.

There are plenty of sites and mapping tools that will tell you the statics of a hole you have entered, but there are many wandering connections as well, you will find them.

However holes direct to null from HS are Very rare, and not a reasonable thing to reguarly hope for. Jump through a few c2 and C3 holes and You should be fine.

Good hunting.
