No, those are bad alcoholics, the good ones do it in styleCool.

I have woken up one morning wondering why in the name of hell I injected capital energy turret though...I can't ,nor do I plan to fly caps

T3's are great though, probably one of the better drunk ideas because it needs lots of cruiser skills which you're likely going to get much more mileage out of.

Actually thinking about it this is why I can fly a paladin , afterwards I just thought "feck it anyway, I'll just go with it".

Thats very true, i have all the required skills, except cruiser V, so i deffinatly got a good start.
I guess when i sobered up, i had a big issue understanding why i should train for 2+ months for a tengu, when all i had to do was train for 2 days and have a raven haha.
Tengu is on my "future list", i want it for sure, but right now, it seemed like a "waste of time"

Ooh shiny Recon changes, I better train that...
I started training them too for the same reason, and so that I would have something training, and because I had recons 4 for some reason which I can't explain since until I looked the other day, I didn't even know what the gallente recons looked like.

With this new unlimited skill queue I can just dump random **** in until I think of what I actually want (which is never), and then suddenly Bang, Recons 5, which will no doubt serve me well considering the last time I flew anything bigger than a frigate in PvP was approximately 2008.

Hopefully i will reach that point, eventually haha.

Yeah I can see why but you should get at least one of the races cruisers to 5 and caldari would be a good one , the rook is going to get a hudge buff and the falcon is already badass , then thers the hac's as well , and logi.

Definitely one of the better drunk ideas I think.

They're pretty bad. But I was already at recons 4.5 when I looked and realise how terrible they are so...

Just train the caldari or amarr ones instead.

Thanks for the advice, i to am leaning towards Caldari, but thats mainly because of missiles and drones Smile

My current plan (AND IM SOBER AS I WRITE THIS) is to stay with the raven for a month or two, at least, while i grind standing and LP for SOE.
My original plan involved grinding LP for an Astero, to start some HiSec/LoSec exploration, and i still want to do this, its just to pretty to leave alone and i dont want to pay full price for it.

While im flying my raven, i will train some basic skills up, like shield, navigation, missiles and drone skills, and when im happy with the lvl's of them, i will go for Caldari Cruiser V and the pretty Tengu Smile
By that time i should have more then enough ISK to fly a Tengu, without worrying about what to do if it blows up haha.

Helpful post. I just came back from a long break too (a few years) and after reading this I think I've fallen into the same trap. Frost here is less than a week old and I've got him tunnel visioning his skills to fly a widow.

Though I think I had just enough foresight to add skills to fly frigates efficiently in the mean time.

Funny, the driving force of all this for me is because I also have a love affair with missiles. And cloaking. Lots of sneaky sneaky BOOM.

Yup sounds like you got the condition alright Lol

And its very funny we are driven by the same things, i too have cloaking leveled up for some sneakiness, just havent planned for what ship just yet.

My main is currently on c. 180M Sp, and I'm so lost as to what to train now. About the only thing not maxed out is refining and science ... I even wasted three months and more being able to to create alliances lol ...

hey ho ...

This is where the dual psyche players hit rough spots. This is where who and what you really are tells on you. You may as well just ask, "What sort of person are you, really?" Delusions of grandeur is a psychological disorder, as an example. If you have this disorder, you can't turn it off and on between real life and a computer game. In fact, as with all psychological disorders, the ones with them are unaware (on their own) that they do have them. To them, it's normal behavior. My psychological disorder is that I'm a know-it-all.

I don't think there's a cure. What?

We must accommodate the idiocracy.

As a new pilot, definitely the best advice I received so far has been to make sure my long term training plans pass through enough short term training plans that new ships, fits, and activities are constantly being unlocked, instead of just gunning for the big T2 or T3 ship I ultimately want to fly and then sitting around listless for 12 months while I wait for the skills to train up.

The only cure is shame and repeatedly being wrong and knowing it. It took me years to recover and I still occasionally relapse, especially when I see lesser minds attempting to figure something out....oh..damn...here I go again!

I sort of wish I had more of this.

There is no ship in EVE I can't fly now or at the very least 2 hrs from now. (I didn't drop 20 billion on the Titan skills knowing I'd never put this character in a coffin) I have so many skills to 5 I will never use it's almost sad. Marauder to 4 and I've never owned a Marauder, never had a true inclination to own one. I will get a faction ship long before that ever happens. multiple Carrier 4, Capital remote Armor, Shield, Hull and energy 4. Never owned a Carrier, never expect to. Same for Dread.

I've never owned a Minmatar Battleship come to think of it but I have it trained to 5 on two accounts, 4 on two more. Same for many T2 cruisers. I have Strategic cruiser and all sub systems to 4 for all 4 races for this account, once over by origins race for three other accounts. I've never owned one.

Command Ship skill gets used a lot. I own them all and fly them a lot.. so it's not a total washout...

Heard "delusions of grandeur" and came running expecting a thread about me.

Im a little disappointed. Im so much better than everyone else, not to mention wayyy more famous, how could you not make this thread all about me? Do you not know how all knowing I am? Maybe You just cant see it yet, but its there. I cant believe you don't know about all the things ive done for this forum man, or at least you just don't appreciate it. Im friends with CCP NakedMan for the love of mike! If it weren't for me, he wouldn't even be famous.

Anyways, im done with this thread. Its beneath me. Hopefully the servants have my shoes cleaned and shined, I feel the need for an excursion from this silly place.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

Few weeks back i got bored and decided that i wanted to be a low sec pirate.

After about 4 weeks i had -7.5 sec status, had been trolled to **** from friends for smartboming pods, pissed off a couple of the wrong people doing it, lost smartbombing proteus to one of the people i enraged (gg on that), spent over a bill on a slave implant set, paid PushX not once, not twice but 3 times to move all my **** around between low and high, then of course had to pay again to fix my sec status plus all the other stupid **** i done in that time.

I think this qualifies as one of these moments.

However, at least i can say i done it :)

I don't need twitter. I'm already following you.

No, not ever.
I also never lie.....cough...cough...ahum...

In other words, although my main has quite a substantial amount of SP, those SP tend to be all over the place.
Then again, in my opinion no trained skill is a wasted skill. You never know when it comes in handy...Cool
