I find Wormholes are relatively safe due to the low population, If you want to be totally safe don't bother but the risk can be worth the reward.

Do YOU normally find sites in Null sec?

Are your Probe Scanner settings set at: Show All, and Show Anomalies?

So when you fly through these systems, and you open your scanner - it shows no sigs at all?

Edit: Yeah I read the OP wrong. Likely some highly skilled explorer flying through and scooping them on the fly.

AFAIK, playing before or after server maintenance has but little to no impact on exploration, since the sites do not "reset", but rather re-spawn on an apparent random basis.

As such, it's possible to find systems with many sites and then again, systems with none at all. It's entirely possible that you have been in somebody's trail (x-jumps ahead of you) and as such, you've been just unlucky.

I do assume there are also a whole lot of people doing exploration.

Yes. When a site is cleared, it reappears elsewhere.

Yes. Just do Data and Relic sites if you don't want any combat. And as others have said, wormholes can be dangerous. Just use your directional scan often and stay alert and you should be okay.



Wait.......only faction sites are not sleepers. There are plenty of data and relic sites that are...I wish folks would not post when they know not of what they speak...

To OP. There are plenty of sites in Null. It's just that the server is clogged with explorers. I have quit exploring and just ambush the noobs now. Not worth it to compete for sites.

It has turned me bad.....

FYI - Dscan wont help you in wormhole space come Proteus.

it'll still help, just a bit less. People still need to scan the sites out. But then again, nothing will help you if a site's scanned out already and the gankers are already waiting in cloaked ships.
