Why are there no empire-, pirate faction or SOE research vessels in these sites? The sites are now several weeks old and still the empires and pirate factions show no visible interest in them. Why is no one trying to examine, research, investigate, survey them?

Why are there no missions from aforementioned entities to allow players to survey the sites, or other means to allow players to investigate these sites and help the empires/pirates?

My ridicule, heavy criticism and general pale outlook about your or CCP's ideas is nothing but an encouragement to prove me wrong. Give it a try.

You don't say.Roll

It's not like I want to know just yet what they know; all I want is to see the "living and breathing universe". And massive empires that don't show any visible interest in strange anomalies spawning all over their space is not credible. In particular not case of the Amarr empire with its strange Empress, or the Sisters with their thirst for knowledge, or the Caldari State who probably suspect (at least some elements in the Megacorps) Gallente behind the anomalies or at least sniff the opportunity to gain some technological edge over competitors. All in all, the sites being devoid of empire/pirate faction vessels investigating them is incredible.

maybe they are their just cloaked or maybe CCP didn't feel the need to dedicate resources to spawning flavor NPCs where it's not needed

Obviously, they haven't; instead they plunked a site in space without anything to it. And not needed is not true for the above reasons.

sure it is we don't need to see them there just like we don't need to see the npc ships other that a few haulers at a stations faction navy/pirate ships and CONCORD to know that they are there

Welcome to the sandbox. The NPC's are not here to create content for you.

That's a completely different setting and situation: Navy ships/haulers and Concord on gates/stations do not influence the future of the universe. These sites, however, were specifically introduced, along with chronicles, to further develop the story and setting of the universe. Adding more flavor and content to this would be only logical.

Welcome to my posts where I suggest that players should be involved in this. Blink Not to mention, as it stands I don't see how players could create any content from these sites, except for the initial hype that disappeared as fast as a Leopard from your grid.

no it would only be nice

the amount of work CCP puts into lore and story is relatively low as they would rather focus on game play

I think he's just excited. He can't wait any longer for something to spawn or decloak from those sites and jump-scare the whole freakin system into the fetal position. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't. I'm ready for these "survey" sleepers to start opening fire on us rather than mere scanning. I'm ready for what ever dire or vile thing that is so obviously cloaked up at these sites to decloak and spew forth a sleeper inva...uh, incursion.

Maybe I sound like some psychopathic and sadistic cultist when I say this, but what ever comes through from the "other side", my body is ready...bring it, CCP!

"Tomahawks?"

"----in' A, right?"

"Trouble is, those things cost like a million and a half each."

"----, you pay me half that and I'll hump in some c4 and blow the ---- out of it my own damn self."

I can't wait to find out if there is a reason these new sleepers have shields or if it was an over site TBH out of the hole thing that is what got me the most curious

Maybe they already paid a visit to these sights which is why there is a beacon there to begin with?

Read: they exploited it and feel comfortable in letting you visit it. The other stashes we find are the ones they have not identified yet.

Cloaking is the closest thing to a "Pause Game" button one can get while in space.
