Manual piloting challenges

Continue to play around with the manual piloting. Still a bit clunky, but on the whole an enrichment of the game. I wonder if it would be interesting to have sites which require very exact piloting—labyrinth asteroids, say, or vast hostile structures with narrow passages where colliding with the walls causes damage to the ship or sets off an alarm or whatever, and where you take something small in and try to make it through or back out in one piece or even within a given time limit. Maybe even mazes, where it's not at all clear how you get through or in/out at all and you have to see what locked hangar doors you can hack open and where things go, and map it as you go along. Anyone else think this sort of thing might be fun?

"Enduring", "restrained" and "ample" as designations for starship components are foreign to the genre of high-tech science fiction and don’t belong in Eve Online. (And as for “scoped” …)

The server only updates once a second...so you make maneuvers once a second. Max.

So less precision movement, more like trying to park a humvee sized hovercraft with delayed steering in a tight multi-story space that has half the room taken up by a supportive pillar.

maybe if you think that sounds fun...
