I went the route of RvB for my pvp alt, and don't regret it. It has the advantage of very low possibility of losing implants do to rules about podding and being in hisec, so you can skill train your low skill character faster. Fleets are almost always out any time of day, and solo fights, arranged or not, are easy to find. But you probably need a 2nd character to make isk as nothing happens in RvB other than destroying ships, and you aren't safe from the opposing side anywhere in hisec and 3rd party war targets like the Marmites are all over the place (except in the normal RvB warzone, where they could expect an organized response).

Yes there are plenty of new player friendly FW corps.

Personally I dont know their names but I know from other FW capsuleers that they do exist.

Click the link in post 6 here by Gully, it will take you to a list of different FW corps that are recruiting. They you just have to find one that is NP friendly.

Last time I heard, BFM was very new player friendly. But that is also about 2 years ago.

Alternatively you can visit www.factionwarfare.com which also has a list of recruiting corporations.

Choose a corp that looks interesting and join their public channel for a chat. I'd advise speaking to your chosen corp(s) to get a feel for what they're like, rather than sending in an anonymous application.
