Why should I go to Fan Fest this year?

Go to Fanfest again for what?

To see how CCP is constantly lying and bullshitting about their future plans for Eve?
To see how they chose to make Dust for consoles instead of their loyal PC fan base that made them what they are?
To see how they are turning Eve into a P2P+F2P feature pay to win MT (PLEX and AUR), where you need 50 accounts and/or 500 dollars per month on PLEX to be able to do anything?

I'm not paying to see their ******* lies and bullshit again. (Incarna, much?)

I'd love to finally go... I can even pay for the tickets with isk (plex), but the airplane tickets and hotel fees are above my reach.

I'd actually WANT to go to the fanfest... So all you people who think ther's nothing to see but on the other hand would love to make someone happy, you can send the GTCs / plexes / isk to me! I also accept cash, contact me in game to make a donation!

You should go for the FW round table.

Last year CCP has all the people working on it there and it was a blast!

They eve followed up with nothing on the forums!

Its a good excuse (that you probably won't tell anyone) to go to Iceland and get drunk. Since you know telling everyone that you are going to spend hundreds of dollars to fly across the world to go to a gaming convention, might give you some strange looks.

I can gorge myself on world class (literally! N.Europe FTW!) ales, lagers, stouts etc. right here at a fraction of the cost per unit .. need a significantly better reason that that.

@OP: Because Hekla is overdue (and rumbling), it will provide a singular experience that (if you survive) will stay with you until you number is up.

Fanfest is a blast. Getting to hang out with like-minded fellows over a beer sharing war-stories and nostalgia is a good time. Especially against people you really hate in game. You come to realize they're just like you when you meet them in real life, and most often you get to have a few laughs.

It's a great social venue to meet people. If you're a loner, it's a great place to hook up with a corporation. I have seen every year the last 3 years, that people end up talking to guys from another corporation, and end up flying with them in game and have a blast.

Iceland is a nice place to vacation. Though it won't be a vacation for your liver.

I wouldn't wanna miss Fanfest personally.
