At-a-glance difference between personal and corp/alliance standings

To be clear, I'm referring to seeing a Red in local and not knowing whether its a personal one or set by my corp.

Is this a problem for anyone else? Because as an old man, confused by the world, this drives me endlessly to distraction and much clicking.

Not entirely sure how this would happen, perhaps two slots for standings icons in chat windows, etc. Circular icons for Personal, Square for corp maybe? There's probably a cleaner way.

However it happens I'd find this endlessly valuable. Anyone else?

I do the same thing (clicking to figure out if it's mine or alliance) so would definitely support something to make it more obvious

I actually thought this was a benefit so that your standings wouldn't overwrite your corp standings. -- Currently this mechanic is linked to the overview and WAR mechanics. If you could simply set your own and overwrite your corp standing then you may not see an enemy coming on your overview...........................................

NM... This is a great idea!!! +1 Twisted

Rather than two slots just different icons would probably be simpler like how now it uses blue with a plus or red with a dash. This way you can just have it so you can either place corp/alliance to show over personnel or the other way around.

The Blue with the + and the Red with a - are for colorblind assistance.........Jussay'n. Perhaps it would benefit from a choice of one or the other, but showing both might over-complicate the overview in it's current setup (as if it's not over-complicated already)

By showing over i mean the same as the current mechanic for the icons like if i don't want to see when some one in my fleet goes suspect i put the fleet icon over the suspect icon in the overview this then translates to the chat boxes as well and i wont see everyone flash suspect when we engage.

so if i would rather see my standings i put them over corp if i want to see corp i put corp over my own.

Kinda fiddly and potentially messy though innit, although I agree showing two of the current icons is excessive clutter. Was wondering about a tooltip but at that point you may as well just click to show info.

Potentially something small but obvious in the style of the new colourless UI icons might work simultaneously without ruining all things but I have the creativity of a stone, quite how that would work is beyond me.

probably not much help for what you guys are after but i play with local condensed so there isn't really much room for another icon so how about having a tool tip when you mouse over a character with standings that have been set that shows corp alliance and personal standings in it.
