Pretty much this, I took a break of 6 months and am back as usual although I have only reactivated the one account now and left all the others in limbo although I find my time is now starting to lean more towards Elite than Eve.

I tried leaving once. Biomassed a large amount of SP and assets. I thought that I could free myself from the grasp and actually find something else. I didn't want to be bound to my fate of being an annoyance to someone, I wanted to mend my ways and become something great somewhere else.

Then I learned that one never quits Eve.

I said that my accounts were plexed for a time and I wouldn't be renewing them. Hence 2 of my accounts have now lapsed and the rest will follow in the coming months.

I suggest you spend more time practicing to troll as your pretty bad at it. Might I suggest you try Wow as that seems to be more your level

They said that to me about Anarchy. Haven't logged in for six months? When I did it was for about half an hour to rattle my dinosaur bones and scare some newbies with stories of how the game was back when I started.... or something like that. I did come back to EVE but an injury forced me to stop in the first place so not of my own volition.

The point being, eventually, you take longer and longer breaks from a game then one day think, "Hey, I haven't played that game for x number of years" Shocked

Veteran burn out is common. Drifting away from a game also happens, you just hear about it far less because of how it happens.

Edit: Max log on average has progressively dropped by about 5000 this year.


My reasons for not renewing my accounts are varied, it would be nice thou for the survey to give the opportunity for older players like myself to give their reasons, instead it is so geared to newer players that it is pretty damn useless.

To me that is a shame.

The survey effectively says we don't give a damn about players who have invested years in the game, we only care about new players.

Why do so many people have this guy's unfortunate face? NO five-year player will give you his stuff. He'd rather smugly reflect to himself over cheap whiskey, and an immature whore (or is it the other way around...) that he has STUFF just SITTING in his OLD ANCIENT DEAD ACCOUNT that NOOOOOBODY can have.
