The WAR is OVER!

On behalf of many players, I want to thank CCP for more or less ending all wars.

Your brilliant actions of crippling cyno jumping and bridging has made any form of large fleet attacks to be completely too problematic and impractical. Thus, our defense fleets of Titans, Super Carriers, Carriers and Dreads do not need to leave our territory. We can make our homes strong enough that even an attacking force would have almost no chance of winning, and even less chance of retreating.

I can see from the map statistics that your plan to end all wars was an overall success, as cyno jumps is way down, as are pilots killed in space.

EVE can now live mostly in peace.

OP: I guess that's one way of looking at it. Another way might be, "the cheap throw down we're accustomed to we can no longer get away with, so it looks like time to get real and come up with the substance instead of whoring gaming mechanics and looking substantial." Just sayin'.

We must accommodate the idiocracy.

I'm sorry. I've looked and looked at that map and I just don't see the donut.

Though this thread was going to be about howt CCP had accidentally caused all declared wars to come to end or something while I was offline.

But it was just a whine post about power projection.

At least the former would have actually been interesting, if annoying.

Hhahahaha

You almost had us OP...almost

But then you claimed there was a war in the blue donut.
You lost it all there.

p.s. This change also means, it's hard to defend your infinite large empire effectively.

No wars, because they've removed CONCORD Twisted

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia

This is the kind of thinking (thinking that is totally ignorant of human nature) that results in Blue Donuts (and now the Blue BRICK). When you spend all your time thinking that what someone else is doing is 'cheap' and advocating game mechanics that punish people for being 'cheap' you play right into the hands of the people who were being cheap in the 1st place.

As many of us predicted, either nothing changed OR in some cases things got worse. The only really good thing that has happened is that wormholes get used more (being less reliable and uncontrollable than jump drives is a good thing for the game, makes for interesting gameplay).

Meanwhile, 1/3rd of the threat that existed against null pve is gone (ie almost no one does regular cyno sub cap hotdrops any more because getting sub caps back home from such a drop is a pain in the arse parts, so not the threat is mainly just wormholes and black ops, and not everyone has access to black ops or wants to risk that kind of isk). Null Alliances can and have been using Super Caps in local battles knowing they are safe from enemy super caps.

Congrats all of you who thought that this change would actually mean change. "New groups" have a harder time getting a foot hold in null AND the existing null coalitions are STRONGER than before, making for an even less fun game than what existed before.

But hey, at least it got rid of the 'cheap throw downs', right.......

3. Ranting is prohibited.

A rant is a post that is often filled with angry and counterproductive comments. A free exchange of ideas is essential to building a strong sense of community and is helpful in development of the game and community. Rants are disruptive, and incite flaming and trolling. Please post your thoughts in a concise and clear manner while avoiding going off on rambling tangents.

17. Redundant and re-posted threads will be locked.

As a courtesy to other forum users, please search to see if there is a thread already open on the topic you wish to discuss. If so, please place your comments there instead. Multiple threads on the same subject clutter up the forums needlessly, causing good feedback and ideas to be lost. Please keep discussions regarding a topic to a single thread.
