About portraits and hair physics

Hello everyone

"Why is my hair floating like it's electrostatically charged?"

So, after noticing this for some time now, I searched the forums and finding only threads related to it but not about the topic itself I'm asking. Why is the server not using hair physics?

When you select a new hair style, it flips into a predefined position then hair physics kicks in and it settles down onto the body and clothing. You get something like this:
Client rendered temporary portrait

Then the server itself renders the portrait and you get something like this:
Server rendered final portrait
Notice the floating, especially above the shoulder? It irritates me immensly.
It's the same predefined position the client shows when selecting a hair style. Obviously the server does not use hair physics when rendering the portrait.

Now... I might be imagining things, but I think it did use them (physics) when Incarna was released.
Am I wrong? If not, why was it disabled? Could it be enabled again?

Happy holidays

Use a magnet instead, I hear superconductors are cheap on the market these days.
