Yes. The message is if you make videos like that people will obviously watch them and make you ad revenue

been reading a nice thrad about those particular videos.

Regardless of the intentions, the maker actually made some interesting work there, I have tried working with sound in several art projects before and I find his sound distortions quite entertaining :)

Just wanted to share :)

[Sorry OOPE, a tl;dr music discussion]. Brujo, if you can handle that, The Residents have about 40 years similar weird and unwholesome music.
The Residents, "One Minute Movies"

Also strange, but much more fun: Snakefinger, "The Man in the Dark Sedan"

Another odd guitarist, and very talented in his own way, I think: Fred Frith, "No Birds"

These guys aren't as bizarre, but they're on the same Ralph Records label. One of the musicians, Boris Blank, is supposedly a Swiss millionaire and F1 team owner. Yello, "Homer Hossa"

And...
The man himself in an entirely different league-- Mr. Scott Walker. He was in a 60s crooner band called The Walker Brothers that had some big U.K. hits. (The weren't really brothers or named Walker). Then, he went solo, and got a little edgy with his pop music. After a while he dropped out and lived for some years in a monastery on some isolated British island for a decade or so, studying Gregorian chants and getting away from the world. When he started making music after that, it was all really hard to describe. Crooning, with harsh instrumentals, beautiful instrumentals, and some pretty disturbing lyrics. Psychological things that people might think about, but never talk about. All meticulously produced by Scott himself, with the finest musicians.

First, a trailer for a film about Scott, for an intro: Scott Walker: 30th Century Man
Early solo Scott's version of the Jacques Brel song "Jackie"
From his one album in the 80s: "[Track Three]"
From the next album, 11 years later: "Bolivia '95" That's just a random pick from that great album. All of the songs are completely different from each other.
From the next album, 11 years after the previous one: "Cossacks Are" (That's about the "pop-est" track from that album. The rest are more "stark," as Scott calls that album. Great music, but the lyrics, themes, and sounds themselves pretty unsettling).

The next album was only six years later, in 2006. I haven't gotten the guts up to listen to that one yet.... All albums can be heard here on Grooveshark.

(Sorry for going off on a long-winded post about personal musical selections post. But not many people know Scott Walker, and musicians from Brian Eno to David Bowie to black metal musicians consider him a demi-god).
