true story - i made a bunch of money my third week in the game looting this Interstellar Exodus wrecks in Providence

http://rawr.eve-kill.net/?a=pilot_detail&view=kills&plt_id=298627&m=1&y=2009 (copy+paste.. new forums don't like the & in links and incorrectly mutate it, none of the juicy kills i scooped are on the board - i, being noob, often didn't make it within range to aggress)

Tedium and difficulty are not the same thing, if you don't realize this then STFU about game design.

On one of my PvE wormhole roams, I saw a Cormorant come through the hole and warp to a planet. I promptly left the anom I was in and caught up with him, then popped and podded him.

He was obviously inexperienced. I felt bad enough that I ended up giving him a couple million isk and taught him some basics of wormholes so he didn't come back in a more expensive ship and lose a lot of isk. I need to check up on him, now that I think about it...

So this one time at band camp a guy in local was recruiting for his 3 man mining corp. He claimed to be just back from years of pvping in nullsec. His killboard said otherwise.

So I private convoed him and asked to join his corp. The 30m bounty I had at the time, the negative sec status and the constant trolling I did in that system obviously didn't ring any alarm bells, as he accepted me into his corp.

Straight away after joining I asked him did he want to do a mining op. He said sure and said that he would bring his orca. I said cool and that I would bring my hulk. So off I popped to pick up my cloaky proteus, undocked and fleeted him up. I hung about cloaked for a few minutes then playing dumb I asked him where he was, even though I knew he was in a belt, as I was warping to him cloaked.

As soon as I landed on him, roughly 10 mins after joining the corp, I was shooting his shiny orca. He said some bad words in corp chat then logged off. I proceeded to finish shooting his orca and he logged back on just as I hit warp. I seen his pod landing as I was warping Sad.

I was a sad panda that I didn't get the pod and I also didn't get any juicy tears, only something that his brother was going to kill him.

I didn't do it alone..and Morin deserves more kudos than I do.

But it is quite possibly the most underhanded and mean thing I have ever done.

I honestly feel like I just read fifty shades of dumb. --CCP Falcon

We set up two corps, the first filled with pvp toons, the second with dummy alts. We spent about 2 weeks recruiting noobs like crazy for the dummy alts corp, filled it with about 40 noobs then provoked a wardecc with our mains pvp corp. It was fish in a barrel, we knew exactly who, how many, what they were flying/fitting and where they were all the time, it was slaughter on an industrial scale lol, such fun =)

That's actually a reasonable source of income if you can do it quickly. I spent about an hour cleaning up all the abandoned T2 drones in a mission hub and ended up with roughly 30 million isk. Docked up, listed them on the market, and sold them all back to the people who keep leaving the behind :)

#EDIT: Just noticed the chat log rules. Just to be clear the parts that kind of look like the chat logs are just a summary. They are not in any way clipped or copied from the actual logs.

I guess this isn't super bad, but it is a good story of deception anyway.

So my main was in a carebear corp running some missions. (I swear I was just waiting for the right moment to rob them blind. In fact it has already happened at this point.) The carebear corp was decced. We were doing alright. A few of us were being very effective in tracking the enemy's movements on neutral alts.

So there I was sitting in system with my alt and a WT. the WT messages my alt. I don't have the chat log as I am at work but the conversation essentially went like this:

WT: I will give you 2 million for your frigate.
Alt: Umm....okay? It is a 50K frigate you know?
WT: Yeah. take this can and let me pop it.
Alt: Desperate for a kill?
WT: Yeah my CEO decced this corp and they are killing me. I need to get some kills.
Alt: Okayyy... sure.
Alt: You don't have any WTs around do you? --(I chatted him up while they made the last four-ish jumps)
WT: No I don't think they followed me here.

(2 minutes of idle conversation)

Alt: Okay you can have my ship. --(Takes from the can)

He didn't seem to think much of me orbiting him just as fast as my t1 frigate would nor did he think much of my warp scrambler. He cursed a bit when the fleet jumped in just as he popped the little frigate my alt was in.

THEN he paid me the 2 million for my ship. Clearly he didn't quite grasp what had happened...

So a couple days later, still during the war I message him from that same alt.

Alt: Hey do you still need some kills?
WT: Yes!
alt: I used the money you sent to get a badger. I will sell that to you for 2 million.
WT: Okay but I am going to choose the spot this time. --(Sends fleet invite)

(Killed a good five minutes pretending I was moving toward him and unloading some cargo.)

Alt: I checked up on the corp that you guys are at war with. They are a hardcore INDUSTRY corp. --(True, btw)
WT: No way.
Alt: Yup...getting your butt kicked by a bunch of miners.
WT: Bunch of miners my a**

(Warp to fleet member)

Once I arrived I made a bookmark and warped away. Then I apologized for getting disconnected as I "e-warped" back to him. The fake disconnect gave me a chance to drop his fleet and be fleeted by our corp.

WT: What is it with you and warp scramblers? And why is this badger so hard to kill?
Alt: Had to make it look good for you. :)
Alt: Friends of yours?
WT: I think you mean friends of YOURS --(He finally gets it as his ship explodes)

Just for good measure, one of our corp mates in a Taranis caught and popped his rookie ship as it was all he had left at that point.

I guess really the worst thing that happened was I met some people I actually really did like in that corp and had a pretty good time with them before taking all of what little they had and disappearing. I admit, it was a little hard to do, but wife aggro makes a guy to some crazy stuff.Cool

EDIT: Incidentally, during my time with that corp I was one of about four people with access to a certain hangar. An Obelisk and an Orca (which did belong to one of the guys I kinda wish I could end up doing these things with. Good guy. Too good though. Can't convert him.) both mysteriously disappeared about the same time I suddenly had a Rattlesnake to run mission ops in. And nobody got suspicious. In fact I was in line to be a director when outside circumstances forced me to cash out.
