The comms used in this was from a streamer who was drunk, persuaded by people in his channel to stream himself fitting his blingy Apoc and fly to Jita where they had a stream sniping gank camp set up for him.

I can't find the original video, which is frustrating, but I'll keep looking...

<3 Miniluv and their wonderful good deeds, but this fake rant was crap. One point repeated over and over is dull and unimaginative, and forgetting to stop the music before Three Days Grace kicked in was fail.

A good new EVE prospect takes it on the chin (like most of us did), says "oh, I must be doing something wrong, let me learn how to do it right, then I'll show your ass what's what!". A bad eve prospect does exactly what the guy on twitch did (as alluded to in the comments of this video): they get a faction and deadpsace fit batleship and try to use it despite being 6 weeks old, lose it and blame the game for their stupidity.

Bad gamers who should not be playing EVE say "F you, you hurt me feelings". Good Gamers that fit in to EVE just say "F You"...period and keep on truckin.

What the guy in the video is derogatorily describing as what's wrong with EVE is actually what's right with EVE and what's wrong with most other (hand holding BS) MMOs.

What folks who think like you do for new players (with good but naive intentions) isn't "helping them" come into and enjoy the game, it's enabling them to come into the game and fail when someone (like goons or CODE or random ganker/scammer guy) demonstrate to them what EVE really is.

No, we ALL are living proof that he's wrong, including the guy who made the video.

It's the paradox of the veteran player who whines about how unfriendly to new people the game is. THEY were new players and at some point (probably when the game was way harsher) THEY came in and the game was harsh and yet THEY survived. But somehow, 'something' has to be done to draw in 'new players' because the community is full of d-bags wanting to chase them off.

Those d-bags are content. If a person CAN be chased out of a video game they pay for because another player of that video game was mean to them (within the rules of the EULA), they honestly didn't belong in that video game to begin with.

In a (admittedly imperfect) way it reminds me of "Truly False Uniqueness" ie they under-estimate other people so they think the game is too harsh for new people but wasn't too harsh for them personally because they themselves are awesome.

At the end of the day, these "think of the children new players" types are just super-egalitarian types types with a warped and kind of juvenile sense of 'fairness' that simply have made the wrong choice in game to play.

"How am i getting shot in high sec?!?!?" A perfect example of how High Sec fools dumb people into believing that it's "perfect-sec". This is why high sec is bad. Not that it would have helped, but I notice how this guy froze and didn't even try to tank, and didn't fit for travel at all.

Though I agree with most people in this thread. Just splicing the audio into CCP's wonderful trailer shows a general lack of humor and creativity.
