All I have to say (as I don't want to just get into arguments) is get rid of gate campers. As for how I don't know but I do know I would love the game a lot more if there weren't gate campers.

I don't know if you've been playing for a long time, but it looks to me like you've made a half-hearted attempt at solo pvp, which is doable, but it takes a bit of experience. I'd suggest joining a corp that you can learn pvp in before trying to strike out on your own and eventually you may come to see gate camps as target rich environments.

Campers become complacent and want to get on every KM possible, often they fit their ships to lock and apply damage quickly. With experience and the right ships this can present you with an opportunity, as ships fit for catching other ships are weak in straight up combat. Knowing what ships to target and when to crash the gate to separate a gang can yield you kills against against even large camps.

Have you ever, and I mean EVER, played a PVP game that did not feature chokepoints?

Alright I have the ultimate solution from the ultimate idealization that comes from every player. Real warp drives that go anywhere given the level of skills and equipment. You didn't see them using jump gates on star wars for their x wings and a wings. Heck you didn't see them using them in star trek either but we have the star trek enterprize.

But that was a long time ago in a galaxy far far away and they used hyperspace not wormholes.

First off, that's immensely stupid; second, people will wait on the sun.

It's immensely awesome and second off everyone already has a scanner and it depends where you land 100 km out of range and seeing them warp in is a lot better than you warping in.

Hey like I said in the last thread I'm all for getting a massive fleet and joining the slaughter of easy kills. But this forum is for ideas on improving the game so here I am with good ideas.

It is awesome and improves the game and everyone thinks about how awesome it would be when they have 50 jumps to their destination.

The solution to your problem is simple.

Create a corp that specializes in breaking gate camps.

--then you'll be opening up the gates for us all.

In fact I'm training for a carrier on a second account right now and plan on staking out the stake outs but my idea is to awesome.

Can you explain WHY an idea that makes it completely impossible to hold territory or defend a fixed position in any meaningful way is awesome?

To allow them to get past unmanned gatecamps I assume. That's not the point either of us were making though. 'Ceptors and T3s can still be caught. If it was impossible to camp a gate at all, nobody would ever be able to force a fight.
