Personally, I'll still be more concerned about cloaked bombers and UBoats than I will the combat Recons.

Well this made things complicated..

I can't even comprehend the comparison between this and afk cloaking to explain it, but we all know how it relates.

Oh, I perfectly understand, Hal Morsh — a mission like this requires courage, skill, and heroism… qualities you are clearly lacking. Have you forgotten you're one of the bloody immortals!?

Unless the combat probes from a recon are also unscannable I cannot see it changing much in terms of risk of attack.

If anything the change is going to make WH scouting and exploration safer if you use a recon to explore.

Have scouts at entry wormholes.... Catch the recon before he cloaks.... Problem solved. You know he's there. Safe up.

Shhhh.....we want the recon pilots to be overly confident because of everyone freaking out about this.

You know, in the 6 or so years that I've been playing Eve, I've lost count of the number of times I've read this. Each and every time, the person quits, and Eve keeps on.

Can I have your stuff? It should be pretty shiny with all the isk you make in wormholes.

Combat Recons can't warp cloaked anyway. So...... This is in fact easier to spot than every single other covert cloaked ship in the game.

Where to start?
After today blog from ccp regarding recons and how they are immune to d-scan - this going to change a large part of eve online.
Firstly , this proves once agian that the CCP only think and just only how to make "pvp-1337" even more happier.Lol
Without thinking that this will make worse for "PVE - noobs/minerr/traders/prod".
What are the consequences of change in januar 2015?
First,
all PVE guys going to leave w -space (they are not interested that ccp constantly draws them in to the pvp)
the prices of t3 will increase, (only few that will make the).

I quit now.

So, Eve is dying.

Stealth technology.

I live in a wormhole.

I'm queuing up Recons. I look forward to their HAC resists and unique features. Please look forward to our unironic Rook fleet.

They will NOT show up on D-Scan at all. Cool.

I don't do WHs much but when I do I use combat probes.

Frigate holes and now Recons. Never going to live in a worm hole ever again.

They should be introducing an auto D-scan (slower frequency) and have the manual one (as quick as it is now)

The reason that Recons are going to be so bad?

Scan out holes
Take a break
New in hole appears
They scan your system
Return from break
Go ratting or mining, etc
D-scan, D-scan, D-scan
No blip appears before they cloak.
ARGH red right next to me!
Align! Alig....
More reds arrive
Dead.

D-scan is your life in w-space.

We need a new meme, "Do you even lift, bro?" and replace it with "Do you even play?" then give feedback with that linked to things like this recon change.

Not even once

EVE is becoming shallow and puerile; it will satisfy neither the veteran nor the "WoW" type crowd in the transition.

Unless you live in a tinyass system where all entrances are within 14 AU of you at any point, you were never going to catch them in the half second between when they uncloaked when entering your hole and when they cloaked back up again. You were always going to have to have eyes on your entrances.

New entrances appear.

... and here is something that will shock you. Did you know that most anomolies, including worm holes appear near the sun? Shocked

How is this different than someone with a covert ops cloak? Bearing in mind that if someone is really dedicated, they can sidestep decloak locking times now by using a stealth bomber for the initial point if they're so inclined, giving the rest of the gang time to uncloak, or by simply having a proper warp-in where you can sidestep lock times by decloaking before you hit grid. Plus, combat recons aren't going to magically have probes that can't be seen.

Granted, the hull bonus is a pretty powerful ability that belongs on a module, IMO, but this isn't exactly game-breaking.

Certainly not going to stop me from continuing to run WH exploration sites solo. There is a reason my entire setup is sub-40mil.

I've heard, and confirmed from experience, that most, if not all, signatures appear within 4AU of a celestial. Not sure about how anomalies are generated since I don't run those...

A professional astro-bastard was not available so they sent me.
