I am currently operating a frigate modded and fitted to have a sniper role and since it has low sig. radius and
good speed its pretty hard to follow and to hit.
But, as we all are aware, this eve game has a lot of "if-s" and "but-s", and a whole array of skills that require
skills in order to fit those damn modules.
So its basically a difficult feat to obtain, and is isk and time consuming.
One of the major drawbacks of such a fitting is the
massive consumption of CPU... due to the signal augmenters, the rig penalty and the high slot modules.
I was barely able to fit a 1mn afterburner.
And NO, i do NOT want a microwarpdrive... it ****s up my signature!!!
With the necessary skills augmented, and two weeks to wait for that i might be able to squeeze out an extra 49.5
CPU tf-s, so that i can use some of my empty mid-slots.
One idea was to fit the modules that i need even if they are unusable all at the same time, and juggle with them
during flight by putting them online and offline.
Of course that`s a nice idea, but the capacitor is nearly depleted when i turn a module back online, so i thought
maybe a capacitor booster with the batteries will do the trick. I do not yet know if that is possible or if its
worth the effort.

And now to my question: In PvE missions there are many cases in which you land right under the noses of you
enemies (within 3-25km). That, in my case, is a problem only if they use a webifier or if there is a webber-tower,
else i quickly get out of harms way and enjoy the show.

While i escape the swarm of enemies i do not really have time to see who is trying to webify me, and from what i
understand, in order to ECM you have to have a locked target... this will not do!

Does ECM burst work operated from frigates? Does it need a locked enemy? I read that they don`t work well because
of their unstable nature or something like that.
So basically if they get to hold me in place... i go BOOM!!
Warpcore stabilizers only have to do with warping, and in case of the enemies locking speed on your ship, what
counts is the signature radius and the current velocity of your ship... am i correct?

Is my navigation skill affecting the locking speed of enemy ships?- moving targets are harder to lock on, right?
So what i want is not to increase MY locking speed, but to decrease the locking speed of enemies without having to
target them.

Probably a doomsday weapon fitted on a shuttle will do the trick.

Orbiting has the disadvantage of plunging me into another group of enemies, if they are scattered... maybe if i orbit
around a waypoint set far away... but how to that? Maybe if i click orbit on the enemy, but put the default
orbiting range at one thousand km... the ship will sort of get out of range in a semi-straight line... and then keep
at range by pressing my beloved "E" key once i am at my desired distance.

I use "Keep at range", should i use "orbit" to gain precious seconds against the frost attack of the dredded
webber? Somehow i fear speed only affects the accuracy of the turrets... not of webbers -(locking speed)- :(

I got as far as sniper frigate before you lost me.

Man... I can't believe I fell for this.

There are no webbing/scrambling frigs/towers in L1.
Are you doing L3´s in a "sniper frig"?
Using an ECM-Burst in Highsec will lead to lose your "sniper-frig" to concord, as sooner or later the AoE will "burst" something else than that what you wanted.
You shoul´nt use cap boosters in pve, at least not in a frig.

I can´t believe i fell for it.

I got as far as sniper frigate before skipping the rest and scrolling down to see the inevitable shipstorm.

Now you're trying too hard. You made a good OP so just sit back and let people fall into your trap...don't overplay your hand.

Thanks for the entertaining post. Good luck with the next one.

I guess I am almost a 'vet' by now. Hopefully not too bitter and managing to help more than I hinder. I build and sell many things, including large collections of bookmarks.

they arent that common but there are webfinders in lvl 1 but if you have any decently fitted destroyer you wouldnt have issues with any lvl 1 mission ive found
