I know someone who has forum read fail. They've done a great job updating people on the down time if you look at the new sticky above.

CCP is like that one friend who is always pathologically late for everything, who keeps saying he won't be late but you don't take him seriously anymore because he always is anyway.

Actually no they still fail because its ALWAYS the same thing : for example..

1. TQ is down and updating has gone to plan

2. we are now in TQ checking everything over but all looks good

3. Ah sorry guys we found some problem and its gonna be down for another 2 hours.

Point is CCP continue to epic fail on a patch by patch basis on getting TQ up at the promised time.

They do this time and time again and If you could place legal bets on it, Id be the worlds richest man.

Parkinsons law states:

"Work expands so as to fill the time available for its completion."

In other words if the head guru gives them an extra hour it will always take at least that extra hour to get the work done.

The 30 minutes is most probably due to an "acceptable" overrun. (In other words they can get away with it without getting fired).

...But then when you put this into context with how sometimes **** goes wrong - you can never accurateley predit completion of a project.

... I'm just saying if you didnt understand this then just shutup and let them fix the game ;)

The facts so far according to your statement

1) CCP overestimates how much time it will take to deploy a patch
2) CCP ALWAYS extends the time it takes to patch
3) You are aware CCP ALWAYS extends the time it takes to patch
4) You expect a different result today though knowing 1-3

definition of Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results

Result: CCP ALWAYS extends the downtime; You know they ALWAYS extend the downtime; You expected/demanded a different result today regarding downtime :: you are insane PLol

Be paitient they have a job to do, and not to forget they will be a patch to fix what they are breaking with this one... soo thats how you keep yourself in a job in the middle of a recession..

TQ has been back before the expected time on patch day twice
and of those 1 time was without significant problems

I aint insane :P

My issue is that the lack of professionalism from CCP on patch days is incredible. If CCP were a say.....game server provider and they failed like they do now the company wouldn't exist. People would go to a better provider resulting in no income and failage.

Its now 12.30 UTC with no update and no TQ..
