Brief video of my Deimos melting to a bait Carrier.

I got the initial tackle on the carrier and regretted it :)

it has nothing to do with the thany, it was his drones, thanny just scramed and web you for his drones.
why were you so close after the bubble went down, better question is, why were you inside the bubble lol.

1. It has nothing to do with the thanny? The whole video is the thanny.
A Thanatos fighters can put out 18,000 - 21,000 alpha. The Thanatos is the only carrier that gets a bonus to damage.

2. Why was I so close to the Thanny? Why Not?

The Deimos was blaster fit and who expects a ratting carrier to have scram and webs? We were not designed to take down carriers and were looking for small gangs to battle.

Eve unfortunately does not tell me what kind of fortune I will come to expect when hunting with my friends.

you are just dumb for staying in the bubble and not try to move out of his scram/point web range after beign point/scram and webbed.

Yeaah. Because in ~6 seconds you can totally travel 20(?)k in a scrammed Deimos, right?

Yeaah. Because in ~4 seconds you can totally travel 30(?)k in a Deimos.

the point is, he was dumb enough to be in scram/web range and be inside a bubble, than he bitches about how a carriers drones killed him. And a diemos is pretty fast, if he was just web, he could have heated his mwd and burned in the opposite direction.
you are dumber than he is.

Right.. Still wouldn't have escaped. 1km/s while webbed with perfect skills and heated mwd. 6s ROF. Has to travel 20k and then warp. That's so easy, right?
And should everyone who's tackled a carrier with a scram be called dumb? Because if they've done that, they're in scram range.
Also, I saw no bitching. Just him realizing that templars+thanatos+bubble = dead cruiser.

How long does it take a carrier to target a cruiser?

I am sure its like 30 min. Plenty time to get out.

You stayed on grid and got melted. I see no fault here but your own.

Or maybe.. Maybe he doesn't care and wanted a fight? As he said, it feels like a trap. If it feels like a trap, you're not going to spring the trap unless you don't know the trigger. But he sprung it anyway, because of a potential goodfight.
Also, target time is like 19.7s. Without sebos. And that Thanatos was armor tanked, so it probably had sebos.

Even if it wasn't pvp fit.. will a Deimos ever kill it even if all it had was a rep.. silly to try imo..

Dang man, why the hate bro? What did I do to you? We like to have fights, and sometimes things don't go as planned. That is Eve.

I can't tell you how many times I have took a fight that I should not have, and came out on top. Some like to take chances for the sake of content. I was scram fit and blaster fit and with experience was assuming that the carrier would not dedicate its mids to scram, web, and sebo.

If you always cower away and only take fights that you can win, then you are probably missing out on a lot of content.

To each his own though.

another approach is to look up the killboard from people you engage if you have the time?

https://zkillboard.com/character/1387863437/
pretty obvious his carrier is specially fitted to do so...
but yes its easier to complain "oh i got killed and there was really no easy mode, even if we blobbed him and did feel extremely safe"

almost as funny as the fact that you put a recruitment claim into the video description

In a perfect world, awesome. Usually when you are combat scanning a Carrier; you don't warp to 100, check out his kb, and then say screw it.

There are a million what ifs in eve. Some people like to only take fights they can win with all the information before acting like yourself, and there are others who enjoy the game of chance and go for it.

To each his own.
