Drone Optimal Range

Evelopedia shows the optimal range for the Hornet I as 1000m. In-game info shows it as 2400m. This second value did not change through Done Avionics level I and II so I am wondering where I can show the true value with relation to my skill levels.

Thanks, in advance, once again.

there has been a drone stat overhaul a few months ago. evelopedia is probably out of date on this one. stale information is a common problem with guides, wikis and other eve resources, which is why you should always look for a hint about when the source you are looking at was last updated. it also helps to have a rough overview on which parts of the game were overhauled and when.

I should buy an Ishtar.

Check info on a drone that you are currently flying in space. These values will be current and different from the information you would get by showing info on a drone from the market or a link.

That is where I am looking. One of my orbiters.

Then that is the correct information, adjusted for skills i believe.

The spreadsheet shows 2400m which matches the info in-game without my bonuses. So I am wondering if there is a place the actual value for this character can be seen.

No, it seems the information is the same on both. The "stock" value. Logging off/on did not change anything.

1. drone stats don't always update, adding a DDA won't show you new values to drone damage, etc.

2. drone avionics only increases your control range, not the drone's optimal (so instead of you having to be within "x" of your target for you to be able to tell you drones to kill it now you have to be within "y" of the target)

I am fairly certain drone info is broken atm. I maybe be wrong on this but I think that the only way that you can see actual correct information is to look that the drones as they are in your drone bay while you are in space.

It might work as you check in your drone bay while docked I can't say for sure but what I can tell you is that if I click on my drones in space it shows me the same info that I see if I look at them in my hangar which matches what I see if I look at them in the market which is to say all are showing me without skills.

It would make sense that if you clicked on a drone in space to check info then you should get the info that the drone is currently using to figure all of your damage but that does not seem to be the case.

I'm not even sure if CCP is aware of this I have just gotten so used to the go-around that I don't even notice it anymore.

^^ This.

Correct drone stats (for you) will only appear when the drone is in a ship's drone bay.

I think you may be confusing drone control range with drone optimal range. Control range is how far you can order your drones to attack. Optimal range is a stat of the drone's onboard gun, how close the drone has to get to its target to apply damage. The Drone Avionics skill improves control range. The Drone Sharpshooting skill improves the optimal.
