People start assuming more posts = more intelligent, wise, or knowledgeable. People go along with that... LOTS of people... will just lump hate on someone with a lower post count in an argument before ever actually making it to the point of discussion.

It's one of those observable behaviors in groups of people that is clearly stupid, but will happen over and over again if you let it. Like traffic jams or bathroom vandalism. Best to just not have post counts IMO.

I like the 'like post' version much better, but it shouldn't show likes received either (for the same reason). It should be left to a post by post, thread by thread basis IMHO.

On this forum, most of the top posteres tended to be the best posters. At least that's how it used to be. Don't know about now. Anyway, point is, post count did count for something.

you can still check lifetime post count in eve search if you know how to if you interested ...
