Any plans on A mass signature reader and the ability to rename holes?

The ability to rename all systems in the chain map will be coming in the next major patch I'm working on now.

"A mass signature reader"... do you mean a copy and paste to add signatures? If so that feature is already there, just paste anywhere.

It certainly would be nice is signatures were automatically updated as we scan them, but I don't know if that data can actually be read directly.

Sadly there isn't an EVE API for that and, from the sounds of it, not likely to ever happen.

Thanks Hidden!

FYI what I use the donations for is the hardware and services behind Tripwire.
Right now we are building a brand new server via Digital Ocean that will include SSD and a new database setup. Also adding CloudFlare CDN support. All this should make Tripwire much faster. Additionally we will be changing to a new domain with the new servers. This includes new SSL certificates also.

All this will have to come out of my pocket if not enough donations are received. If every person using Tripwire this very second donated $10 that would be nearly $2,500 and last for years. Even $1 donated enough times makes a big difference.
Please Donate what you can to keep Tripwire running

Donate button located at the bottom of the Tripwire site.

Thanks!

A corpmate of mine is having some trouble with Tripwire, his map is only showing the home WH but no connections. As you can see below, he's got the Sig List for our home hole (J142800), but nothing else. We tried having him enable Auto-Mapping and jump through a Wormhole and back, but no dice. It was working fine for him yesterday, and he swears up & down that it's set to Corp Mask and that all the settings are the same. Everyone else's is working fine, anyone know what the issue could be?

Great program by the way.

I'm guessing there is a javascript error because the home system should be highlighted blue because he is viewing it in Tripwire. I will have to take a look at it when I get home from work so I can view the logs for the IGB.

Try to contact me in-game tonight or next time you see me online.

Some new features already in final testing on Galileo and will be included in the next Tripwire patch....

  • Chain map grid lines (including coloring for flared) Screenshot
  • Paste signatures notice click-able link to auto-delete signatures not included in paste
  • Chain map collapse section by dbl-click system fully functional
  • Notes section auto-linking urls

Additional changes still in the works for the next patch:

  • Chain map renaming of every system & bookmark (by class or type)
  • Chain map fix to show the same system multiple times (wormhole loops)
  • Chain map tabs to view multiple chains via specified system
  • New built-in tutorial to walk new users through features

Possibly more features & fixes. This patch should be out in less then 2 weeks and as always you can check them out now on the Galileo (SiSi) version of Tripwire.

This is the only feature that was missing that, in my opinion, would completely obsolete siggy.
I can't wait for that update so I can convince my corp to move to tripwire.

Oh another thing: right now it's not possible to define in what security a k162 leads to even though it is shown in every wormhole's description in game, would you consider adding this capability in order to better distinguish wormholes and make the auto-assignment more accurate?

You can define where a K162 leads to by using "Class-1" or "Null-Sec" for the leads to system.

I will be adding a built-in tutorial soon which will help reveal all these hidden features.

Yeah that was pretty hidden but I'm glad it's there.

I noticed that if I have some personal chains and then I switch to corp mode all my stuff stays separate, is there any way to "import" personal to corp and corp to personal?

Not currently. I will be expanding how the mask system works in the patch after next. Things like the ability to copy data from another mask or maybe even linking masks together are some of the goodies I'm considering.

But as always I listen to feedback, so if everyone wants a specific feature then I will do it no matter what I feel about it :)

I'm happy to provide as much feedback as possible during my day to day use (you should implement that uservoice slideout thing that many sites have).

I didn't check thoroughly but I noticed that the connection lines do show how much (known) mass has transited through a wormhole.
They aren't easy to click or hover (perhaps they could use a bit more "sensible" area), anyway something that could be useful would be some sort of "calculator" to determine what it would take to collapse a hole.
Something like "jump 3 more times with MWD on" in the description of the link.

Almost a year ago Tripwire did have the uservoice service, but was removed from lack of use and users complaining it was getting in the way. I'll consider adding it agian.

You can click on the chain lines to see mass travels, but it is probably not the best method and I'm considering ways to improve it.

At first I was a bit confused by the lines because they all start from the same point so it's difficult to choose the right one.
There should be the possibility of changing the life and mass of a specifc connection

You can change that by editing the signature.
