Had to bypass launcher just now. It was working 6 hrs ago. Here's a screenshot. I tried reloading it a few times but the bar still grey.

Anyone else have this problem?

Mine is doing the same thing on 2 different machines. How do you bypass the launcher?

BOB is my Co-Pilot.

Yep. Same issue here. Was working 12 hours ago. Now, the status/loading bar and the Play button are grey. Information on how to bypass the launcher is here - https://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/EVE_Launcher_Issues_and_Workarounds

Bypassing the launcher works fine. Clearing the launcher cache - as recommended - and resetting the launcher settings had no effect.

Hope this can be fixed soon. Bypassing it is a pain.

Interesting. I'm still getting the error.

what you do is

1. right click the Eve Online client.

2. click Show Package Content

3. Under Resources folder double click the Eve Online

This works to get you into Tranquility but not Singularity.

I used the automator to create a script and a shortcut to Singularity. When I click on the launcher icon, it starts, runs a slew of launcher updates, then closes automatically. When I restart the launcher the status bar is completely gray and there is no "Client ready" message. When I enter my user name and password and click on the login button, the PLAY button appears, but it is gray instead of orange, and is unclickable.

Does anyone at CCP have a clue on how to fix this issue so I can get into Singularity?

Additional info:

I am running OS X 10.9.5 on a new machine which I just downloaded EVE onto yesterday.

The only thing I can think of is using terminal, bypass the launcher and put in the server parameter there. I don't have Singularity account. So I can't try it. So kinda like this:

open terminal
go to the directory for your Singularity.app
open Singularity.app/Contents/Resources/Eve\ Online.app -- args /server:87.237.38.50

Try clearing the cache in the EVE Launcher - it could be an update to the landing page.
