[quote=Worrff]The night before the patch, I was getting a constant 60 FPS during a fleet fight. Last night, in a fight with similar numbers I was getting 45-50 FPS.

I have turned off the blur option and I have high-end hardware so that is not the issue.

So, despite “performance testing”, either the new UI or the new PBR are causing significant reductions in performance. No-one asked for this new UI, and most people hate it.

Fancy new cr4p is all very well, but performance should not be sacrificed for it.

CCP still breaking stuff that works instead of fixing stuff that is broken.

Awesome.[/quote

The only gripe i have about this patch is the ncontact flashing windows panels check order the window light up view market details the other pain light up go back to the next one in the list of the wallet that one light up its driving me mad - please ccp for the love of god gives us the ability to turn the pain flash off - before it was precise now its So annoying I'm going out my mind with frustration. also it bloody laggy - why do you insist on making stuff better for the game when you clearly do not play this game.

I'm seeing fully opposite effects, whereas I used to get around 35fps on average with 300+ pilots on field and substantial hangups when landing on a grid with a fleet or 2, now I get constant performance of 60fps (vsync capped) and barely a hitch when landing. If only it helped with my head ache.

What did you do to get that ?

I'm not really sure, but here's the general gist of things:

Blur off
Transparency 0
Carbon
No pinned windows
AA disabled
Textures, Shader High
LOD miedum
Post Processing Low

There thing here is that for the first hour I had weird stuttering and generally horrible performance. After rebooting my computer I logged in to find the most fluid Eve in 5 years. I guess post processing might be a resource hog.

Post processing does tend to hog resources.

However, I was running with everything maxed, brackets on etc before the patch and was getting a solid 60fps. I kept exactly the same settings after the patch and it was fluctuating between 45-50fps.

So the "improvements" CCP have made have certainly impacted on performance, as nothing else had changed.

Advanced search function in Asset window broke in Rhea when searching by item name.

Search like "c:ship region:forge" works correctly and lists all ships in forge region.
But search like "rifter region:forge" list all the rifters you have everywhere ignoring filter by region.
Generally anything what follows item name in search request is ignored.

I have one client that works without a problem, but when I load up a second one I drop from 60fps to 30. The falcon is off center, it feels like it is up one inch, so when I zoom in the whole ship is hiding in my overview and there is empty space in the center of my screen.

Green hightligts are barely readable, to a point where I thought they were missing. Examples:

* Wing/Squad you are in in the fleet window
* Toggle Hide/Show Sensor Overlay

When logging onto the game, if I go into the "esc" menu before selecting my character the screen will go black when I exit the menu. I can still randomly click at the darkness where I think the character is to log into the game and I can get into game.

I believe somewhere in the recent blog / write up about the changes they said it would show some flaws in the ships models.

The new UI is really, really bad. I consider this an issue. And no, I didn't test on SiSi because obviously feedback wasn't listened to. I went to the feedback thread for the new UI features on SiSi and saw all of the points I am about to make below also made by various other players and go ignored leading up to this release.

1. Who thought it was a good idea to tie the transparency slider to also include the right click drop down menu? When/why would you ever want that? Now I am forced to choose between completely opaque black monolith windows covering up my screen that I can't see space behind, or transparent windows like before, but with a completely unusable right click drop down menu that bleeds text into it from the menu behind it and makes it completely unreadable.

1.5. Why are there little white "corners" on every window?

1.9. Why does transparency set to 0 really mean 30 or 50? I shouldn't be able to see anything behind any window if it is set to 0.

2. Why can't I set the transparency for the Neocom, or why isn't THAT tied to the transparency slider? Now I have a Neocom that's hard to see with any sort of lighter background behind it, but my little character picture at the top is completely opaque? Looks bad and is functionally bad.

3. Why are the Neocom icons all flat 1990's monochrome and the same looking? Very hard to use my peripheral vision to select things without actually looking over which I could do no problem before. The colors before gave each icon distinction which lead to better and quicker functionality.

4. The new map looks great, and is very pretty and customizable, but also very sluggish. I understand this is still in beta, and I really hope this gets addressed before you integrate probing into the solar system version of the new map, because if not probing will be a very sluggish and laggy task.

5. In the new solar system map when you are warping around, the "you are here" icon doesn't smoothly move like it does on the old solar system map, but instead updates in a rigid like laggy or "jumpy" way. Once again, hoping this is just because of the beta status of the map.

6. Chat tabs blinking are hard to see with the new UI, and broken. For example, if 4 tabs are blinking and you select the first tab you want to read, all blinking for all other tabs stop.

7. When selecting a module before locking something, the cursor used to follow the mouse, now it just hangs near the modules and doesn't move.

8. Please give us an option to use the old UI. How anyone over in Iceland thought this UI was an improvement in any way boggles my mind.

9. WASD moving ships is kinda cool as a gimmick, but sluggish to respond. As of right now I only use it to make my ship do funny moves in a safe spot while waiting for my probes to finish a scan cycle. With how slow it is right now, I can't really see it as useful in PVP or PVE other than a gimmick. For example, If I am hunting someone while cloaked, I would never use the WASD controls as they are now to avoid debris or an asteroid. I would simply do what I did before: Stop ship completely, do a 180 with the camera, and make the ship turn instantly around with a mouse click. The problem with the WASD controls is that they will never beat the fact that mouse clicking can make your ship do an instant 180, or 90 degree turn. I don't know if this sluggishness is intentional or not.

I jumped on last night for some exploration/PVP in a wormhole, and was only on for a few hours. The points above are some things that immediately stuck out to me. If I find more worth mentioning I will come back to update this post.
