CCP. Really. You should think about that.
loading lasted almost 7 hours! 1.5 Gb! 7 Hours!
It stopped 5 times, so i needed to restart Launcher...and never stand away from my comp because of that!
And then, when patch downloaded, it became to patching...And Stopped at 14.7%.
I waited about 30 minuts -- nothing.
So i restarted launcher again.
It started from the beggin.
I hate you, CCP, just because of your launcher.
Game is perfect, i look forward to each patch BUT! Everytime i afraid, cause it need to use your launcher...
Why? Why other companies, other developers have perfect launchers, with great performance and download speed?
Why cant you create launcher like WoW or GW2 launchers?
Uhh... now im downloading files via repair.exe, hope it will works.
So ill go to sleep, you got me exhausted with your launcher. >_<

Exact same problem here.
My launcher and repair tools are freeezing too...

Had the same thing happen to me.

Ran my launcher overnight.... terribly slow. Then this morning, it was sitting at 950mb... then I had to reset my internet connection.

It ran super fast then... up until 1 gig downloaded.... then started the whole process FROM SCRATCH! EvilEvil

Sort out your launcher CCP! There are many open source examples you can get of excellent download managers. Please, go study a few and FIX YOUR FRAKKIN LAUNCHER!

I agree totally.

I live in the Philippines on the beach, with internet from the dark ages. Most of the time I can't even download the patch, because if my internet fails, I have to redownload it again. In the end I just redownload all of eve with a download manager, so instead of 1.5GB patch, it would be around 12gb, and take me a week to get it again.

Love the new content patches that are coming out every 5 weeks, but now this means I have about 1 week downtime between patches, so that's 1/5 of my gametime is now lost to the launcher unable to resume.

I couldn`t even log into game this morning. Server was online, but launcher got stuck after pressing "PLAY"-button. There was over 19000 players online. I repaired launcher, but no help. Tried to log in 10 times, but got stuck everytime. Sad

i downloaded the patch over night. then i try to log, it says, files missing. then i use repair tool, it says, files missing.

From my connection I never ever had any issues with the launcher. When Rhea came out yesterday I downloaded and patched as usual. Speed via VDSL by Vodafone Germany was great. Download took a few minutes. No installation issues as usual.

The OP is another good example what forums are made for: it's a place for strange people not able to commumicate in a right and polite way. Before checking if this might be an issue with their connection or PC they point and yell at CCP and use stupid words like "I hate you". Honestly. EVE might be a hardcore life-style thing for some nerds but finally it's a computer game not worth to emorage a minute.

Downloading speed must not be a problem by CCP's server. Installing issues can be a problem with your PC depending what OS you have running for how long and what you have generally installed the last years. We all know that just a fresh installed PC is a good PC.

Don't wonder if CCP will not respond to that nor they will change the launcher exclusively for you only.

just frustrating. I don't know if the problem is my computer of if there is issues with the client/launcher. I was able to log on a number of hrs ago for a little while for a little while but after dt was unable to. also was never able to bring the second client up at all. Now the launcher doesn't fully load or sys it is offline. even while I am able to access other websites etc so I know it isn't my internet connection.
Yes my account is paid up to date ;)
Am just looking for other with similar (partial loading) problems.
oh, the repair tool doesn't start eithr.
strangely enough the 3rd party website 'Eveoffline' says page cannot be displayed. So I can't even really find out if the game is online or not

Looks like an isolated issue with a number of people, I've had no problem logging in/patching at all.

How about instead of bashing, we try to help each other?

Currently in Chicago IL, US, ISP - Comcast (Yeah, I know...). Using MSE with Firewall up at all times, no firewall exclusion. No port forwarding.

Had the same issue.

I went under EVE\launcher and renamed the CACHE folder to old_cache.
Started EVE without issue after that.

On Macbook Pro Retina the Launcher shows a grey bar at the bottom that does not recover. And I just bought 3 months worth of play time.

This is a major showstopper and rediculously irritating. CCP YOU MUST REINBURSE OR SOLVE VERY FAST!!!!

Well it works now. I have absolutelly zero knowledge of why. I tried 2 days later and the magical new eden good fairies had fixed it with stardust or something because everything works well now.
chalking it up to a black hole musta swallowed my part of the universe at the same time that my dog was burping up the breakfast of a cyborg rabbit it had just injested. Unlikely. I kno. But so is self repair after doing nothing. Not going to try to figure this out anymore and just accept it.
