I was traveling through JZF-F4 earlier and found something interesting listed as a beacon "Unidentified Structure" Upon warping to it I found this http://s209.photobucket.com/user/ghostbirdofprey/slideshow/eve%20screenshots/Unidentified%20Object

The stills don't do it credit, but it seems to be something with an imperfect cloak that becomes more and less visible at random, seems to shimmer, and appears to have some sort of arcing across the surface. Can anyone identify it at all?

EDIT: I took a few seconds of video
http://youtu.be/f8ks7ODxFsI

UPDATE:
If anyone finds one of these unidentified objects, please record it HERE. I want to cataloge all the locations and, if possible, check for any correlation.

Also, as discussed further down, in addition to these unidentified objects, sleeper drones have been appearing in known space. They have shields unlike their counterparts in J series systems, but do not seem aggressive; they instead seem to warp around scanning everything they come across.

My suspicion is that they are performing surveys or reconnaissance operations of some sort, but I have no evidence of such.

I have come across the exact same finding in High security space, still no clue to what it is.

The SAME EXACT thing?
Where in what system?

If there's more than one, that even more troubling.
Someone in the Summit suggested maybe it's of Jove Origin, which is a troubling assertion alone, but if true could suggest an evacuation or something possibly given the gates have gone dark in their space.

That would be irresponsible of me to disclose the location in such a..... "Open" location. Even for such a matter.

and why would that be?

Also I uploaded video from one of my camera drones since stills don't do this justice.

The visual distortions and electrostatic arcing strongly suggest something sporting a cloaking device that experienced a mild to moderate malfunction very recently. Given the past few weeks I think it's a safe bet as to what caused it.

Yeah I figured it is a cloaked structure of some sort.
I am more concerned by WHAT is concealed than how.

On a side note, three sleeper drones warped to the site and began scanning the area. First they scanned the nearby beacon (which begs the question WHO placed that beacon there?), and then the clouds. After a few minutes it looked like they managed to lock onto the structure and scan it directly, which my own sensors failed to do.

On a side note they scanned by ship and drones after deployment, but did not take hostile action.

Sleepers in the Empire? Are you sure?

They were spotted deep in nullsec (a few systems in Vale), so I have no confirmation they are in empire space, but they ARE in known space

Sleepers confirmed in Curse. Another unknown structure.

Can confirm that the're also in LowSec (Forge Region). 3 Circadian Seekers appear roughly at half-hour intervals. So far, I've killed 3 sets. Never left them around long enough to allow them to "scan" anything as has been mentioned.

Have you tried to salvage them? I blew one up and don't seem to remember finding anything usable in the wreck

I've salvaged three of them and I got absolutely nothing worth the time. 3 Metal Scraps. Definitely not normal sleeper loot. Will check what they're doing on the next spawn.

Troubling,
Troubling that the first reaction everyone has is to shoot first ask questions after the fact, They don't shoot back yet but with the way everyone is responding to them it's only a matter of time before they do.... And I can confirm they have weapons..

I also shoot pirates first and ask questions later.
Do you know the reason why? I have lost multiple ships to both parties.

I should also note the sleeper ships have all been drones.

I really hope we keep the focus on figuring out what they're doing in space and not determining who is doing it wrong. Shoot them. Observe them. JetCan Homeless people in tribute. Let's just find out what kind of site(s) we're dealing with.

They do seem to tend to spawn next to the beacon. Not near the station.
EDIT: Added below

Watched 3 more cruisers land, scan the beacon, scan their dead friends, burn towards the cloaked tower, and then warp off. I decloaked an alt that was watching the site just to check and they did NOT aggress the ship. These are not normal sleepers.

I think everyone failed to note the fact that the Sleepers have shields. Either that or I'm going crazy.
