Is it possible to show a compact list of all stations with assets (but not the assets) and the total value and m3 in those stations.
This would be handy for traders to determine if there is enough value in a station to go pick up the items.

For example, I see I have 122,000 value in station A which is 8 jumps away, not worth my time, but I have 67,000,000 in station B 14 jumps away. I will go to pick up the items. Showing the m3 as well helps my decide which ship to use.

The Overview tab already does this. I can view stations by total volume and value of assets (can be refined by the filters in the Assets tab). You can display by system and region as well.

I have to send out a big Thank You! for this software.
Its almost perfect and I have used it every time I have popped my head back into Eve.

Unfortunately I can no longer seem to get it to work.
I thought perhaps my Java was messed up so I have uninstalled and reinstalled many versions with no effect.
I get:
INFO [AWT-EventQueue-0] net.nikr.eve.jeveasset.io.shared.FileLock - Unlocking all files
ERROR [AWT-EventQueue-0] net.nikr.eve.jeveasset.NikrUncaughtExceptionHandler - Uncaught Exception (Thread): URI has an authority component
java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: URI has an authority component
at java.io.File.(Unknown Source)
at net.nikr.eve.jeveasset.data.Settings.getLocalFile(Settings.java:752)

Now I THINK that I have figured out WHY but I cannot figure out how to fix it.
I think the Why is due to the fact that my computer has folder redirection. as in \\server\users\doom\downloads rather than c:\users\doom\downloads

I was able to test this somewhat using Hyper-V and logging in as a local user where it worked. Though it is a pain to remote desktop to the server to run hyper-v to boot up a virtual machine just to use jeveassets

Any ideas?

*EDIT*
I fixed the problem by accident.
The problem wasn't about where the profiles and data were going, it was about where it was being run from (both downloads and desktop were redirected)

Thank you again!

Love this tool, i found it last night but I have 2 problems with it.

There is no easy way to clear your sorting from what i can tell
-it would be nice to see a reset sort button and not reset all columns

There is no column for total price for assets including quantity, it would be cool to see it displayed with ease instead of having to right click.

if these exist but I dont know how to do it, since i got it last night, please tell me.

Good job fixing the problem yourself :)

@TheMercenaryKing
1)
Single click, add the column as "sub-sort" (Main sorted first, then subs are sorted - in the order they were added)
Double click, reset sorting (set new main column)

It is in the readme, as it's the most common question asked - be sure to check it first, then you don't have to wait for me or someone else to reply with an answer :)

2)
I think you are looking for the column: Value (price * count)

(first off, awesome tool, THANK YOU!)

for stockpile if its not too hard to add an option for "systems in region"

region is to broad and adding every system by hand is hard

another way to say it is:

Can I add a stockpile for every system in a region easier than by clicking on all 40-80 systems?

Also an easy way to add an item to all systems?

Ideally I am hoping for an option instead of Add Station, System, Region, Universe to Add All Systems in a region, then either removing the few i don't want, or setting them to ignore.

Outcome is I can sell 5 MWDs in every connected highsec and once they sold out it shows up red in my stockpile tab.

If this is even conveys understandability.

(other option, can I edit the file that stores stockpiles and "import" them that way? I can generate the data myself that way instead of 1 million clicks)

Exactly what I was looking for. Value was being funky on some things and I couldnt tell what it was doing. Also, this is just me personally, but I would rename "Count" to "Quantity".

That is a great idea, sadly, I can't commit to any new feature ATM.
I will add it to the backlog, though..

This is a super handy tool. Thanks!

I have run into a couple of issues recently:
1. For the last week or so, I've noticed that when I alt-tab into my Eve client, jEveAssets crashes. Is this a known issue or should I file a bug report?

2. The tracker is not kept separate per profile. If I switch between profiles then any updates get merged all together. Seems counter to what profiles are designed for ;)

Setup:
Windows 7 SP1

> java -version
java version "1.7.0_11"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.7.0_11-b21)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 23.6-b04, mixed mode)

@IcyMidnight
1) First update java to the latest version. "1.7.0_11-b21" is quite old, the latest 1.7.0 update is 71/72.
There's a good chance that will fix it.
If that doesn't work, send me the log file as described in the readme

2) Yes, that is indeed stupid - It's a bit hard to change now, as the data is placed in the settings.xml file - aka not in the profile files.
I will look into what I can do about that, though.

Two things about reprocessing:

- The calculated reprocessing values are wrong because of the expected minerals to come out of it.
- I can't configure the reprocessing settings completely. "Refinery Efficiency" and "Scrapmetal Processing" are "greyed out" and not selectable.

The database with the outcome minerals is correct. When I take the output amounts and multiply with the correct multiplier, the outcome is correct.
So the calculated multiplier in JeveAssets must be wrong.

1) Yes, I see they have changed that - before you needed level 5 to train the next skill (now it looks like you only need level 4)

2) The calculation have not been changed in ages - I will see about getting that up to date.

Thank you for your feedback :)

EDIT:
The calculations was indeed wrong. Updating to the new formula (source)
"Reprocessing efficiency" are now trainable after level 4 "reprocessing" - fixing this as well

Thank you very much for pointing my attention to this problem :)

Hey Golden Gnu,

thank you for the update :)
Bad news: The reprocessing numbers are still to high. There must be something in the formula still.

Ingame
JeveAsset Outcome with my skills

Maybe it's about the special formular on scrapmetal.
devblog
It's stated
"Also, all refining skills and implants will now only affect ore and ices. Any item that’s not part of the two categories mentioned earlier (like ships and modules) will only be affected by the Scrapmetal Processing skill, which will be decreased from 5% to 2% efficiency per level. That means you’ll only be able to reprocess ships, modules and other items at only 50-55% rates."

EDIT:
The reprocessing of ores is calculated correctly when I set the base yield to the right one for the station I'm in.
This does not include implants, but well, that's fine for me. Perfectly would be a more precise setting for all the factors, but that's a feature request, not a bug. :)

So the problem seems to be only for reprocessing of items, because there's another math.

@Malkys en Daire
Turns out I didn't do my research good enough.

The formula is correct for all ore, but, not for items.
Items are only affected by "Scrapmetal Processing", not by "Reprocessing" and "Reprocessing Efficiency"

I need a day or two to test the changes, then I will release a bug fix version

Thank you for following up on the issue :)

Trying to get the update out today or tomorrow.
Also, fixing the less-than-optimal layout on the tracker

In the last two updates the value of Missiles presently being manufactured is being grossly overestimated. Those in Assets are not affected.
I'm guessing this might be because they are produced in batches of 100?
