You can do them yourself with a 3D printer and the models extracted with TriExporter ;)

I really want them too. Hope I can get my hands on a friend's printer soon...

How about some nice models still requiring assembly and painting?

I would spend money on a Tempest or a Vargur. Maybe even a Vagabond, Loki or Sleipnir. Put guns on the Tempest-class hulls; they look strange unfitted and virtually everyone uses 800s with them so it should be fine.

I'd probably spend money on a Hel or a Naglfar (only if it has guns on it), but I wouldn't spend money on a Ragnarok or a Nidhoggur. Capital ships would definitely need some sort of lighting though.

I'd absolutely buy a Loki. I love my Loki.

While I agree 100% with your premise, I completely lack any sort of talent for that painting and gluing thing whatsoever and would like to have models that are already look good.

Maybe 2 lines of models? A line of pre-assembled and pre-painted models (or quick-snap models, very easy to assemble and already painted) and a line of models ready for assembly and painting?

this so much i already have a chimera model i printed.


but i remember building model planes growing up and i would definitely buy a good deal of eve models to do the same

yeah the ones i've seen that people have done with their 3d printers look like crap tbh. i want metal models. nice heavy ones. sturdy and all shiny like the ships now lol.

I seriously don't understand why CCP hasn't gotten with some toy manufacturer and said here, build these, sell them, we get x% of all profits. Go for it. ?? I mean, any income off of it is gravy is it not?? I really think there would be a huge market for it. I would go broke buying them.
