need help with R&D agents

recently i remembered there is such a thing as R&D agents...

I go to set it up, and a weird thing happens.

My skill to control R&D is 2 - meaning I can set up to two R&D jobs.

I go to one agent, set the job up. Fine.

I go to another one, with identical requirements, and he says i lack the skill to control additional job. I try a few more, of lesser requirements, same result. But my skill is level 2, I should have 2 jobs. What Im i missing?

Might wanna 'Clear All Cache Files' in Esc menu - 'Reset Settings' tab. That will initiate a re-log which usually removes small little bugs. It basically let's the client get back in-sync with the server which is always good to do after patching in new game updates / Release.

You might need to notify CCP about the issue with a Support Ticket in-game asap. Sometimes Agents get lazy and won't accept a request for work. A simple little talk from their Supervisor (CCP) usually fixes the problem.

Then perhaps a move to Science & Industry, or even Skill Discussions would be appropriate.

How about this - if you can't provide an answer to the question then don't bother posting a reply.

In the amount of time it takes to post a little snide remark or make a 'Sign Post' with arrow pointing to a link, the question could have easily been answered instead of dragging out the topic and turning the thread into a Forum Flame War.

I know it goes against the nature of always wanting to step into the limelight for a fleeting 5 minutes of fame but the fact remains, if you think the thread is in the wrong sub-forum then just report it and let ISD/CCL do their job.

And yes, I know this reply here is basically fanning those flames but hey, someone needs to say it.

dont bother its pointless. best you can do with this troll is to block him and flag every post he makes.

i think i know what might have caused my issue. i have applied skill points directly into the project management skill to get it to level 2. bought the skill book, injected it, buffed it to level 2, went to agents. Maybe it does require a re-log to sync it. i have yet to try it as im back in my wormhole atm, but i think what you say will work, it makes sense. next time we have an empire exit ima try it.

Keep in mind that the R&D agents are a very poor replacement for FW LP in terms of datacore production. Even running max agents you're likely to be able to accumulate more datacores in a day of FW than a year of the agents.

(My numbers are of course being pulled from my behind, but my point still stands)

aye but its a completely afk stream. i had something like 5 years worth of LP for my level 2 agent, thats how i remembered those things existed. I opened up my journal one day and saw something like 100k LP for research. Okay :)

He does Electromagnetic Physics, Electronic Engineering, Graviton Physics and Rocket Science reseach. You have at least one of those so you are good there.

The thing you should check is your standing with Lai Dai as he needs a minimum of 3.0.
