Gave me 5mil to start off with which, with my original toons about 10 years ago, was a massive boost of ISK for newb. ;)

Some guy gave me 1.2bil for free when my alt got smartbombed out of jita carrying a high-grade omega in a shuttle (retroactively I dont know why I carried something that expensive in a shuttle, and I didn't think smartbombing was allowed in highsec at that point in time, only had been playing for about a year)

I've been helping new players that ask for help in local (mainly showing them a good fit for the ships they are flying and sometimes giving them the ISK for the fitting) in a way paying that guy's help forward.



IIRC Once we ganked CCP Rise (before he was with CCP) while he was streaming the moment he got in lowsec with a camp.

It was funny cause some of us were watching the stream when he came in. He was annoyed because we instascrammed him with an interceptor and he effectively could do nothing in his talos cause he was also jammed by a scorpion from 150km.

I've lost count of the nice things that have happened to me, but I will note a couple.

-A few of us were talking about video games and Portal came up. I'd never played it and I thought it sounded really interesting, and a really nice person got it for me on Steam.

-I asked a few simple questions to an accomplished ganker who posts on these forums. It's p. obvious that person is very busy but they've written me super long mails about gank theory of operation (which I've taken a few notes on in Google docs). I have plans to make it up to them.

-Two very advanced players have spent hours with me fumbling around in a destroyer while they teach me combat techniques in lowsec. The fights we got into could not have possibly been interesting for them, but I remember every fight and have copious notes on what I did wrong.

-I had quit a null corp and forgot to update my med clone. I realized this after undocking and unable to dock back up. A friend and I were in the midst of a pretty heated argument, but when I described the situation he came over to scout for me and get me out to safety.

I haven't yet thought about quitting EVE, but if it ever came up I'm not sure I could because of the people.

People don't do nice things for me, I can't figure out why.

I've had a lot of genuinely pleasant conversations with random people while playing.

Those are always nice.

When I started, an experienced corpi of mine gave me a nice kitted up Enyo.

It took me several years to get the skills to fly it properly as real lfe got in the way.

I never fly that particular Enyo - I keep it as a reminder that most folk in Eve can be pretty decent some of the time.

A nice hi sec indy corp I had an alt in a few years ago once donated an Obelisk, an Or a, lots of ore and moderately expensive blueprints to me.

I still do not know if they ever figured out they did it though.

I took the 1 bil+ ISK that someone who was quitting gave UaE, and made several new players very happy with frigs, dessies and skillbooks and implants.

Someone payed a month of eve for me when I couldn't.

Back when I was still newish to EVE I was running some basic exploration stuff in Caldarai space with a jury rigged Ferox that is one of the weirdest yet somehow effective fits I've ever made. While running a Guristas Scout Outpost a Tengu suddenly lands in the first room while I'm in there fighting my way through.

Seeing me, the guy opens up a conversation with me and starts to head out, when he finds out I'm still new to exploration he turns around, helps me power clear the site, and lets me take the loot from the final room. Pith C type booster dropped, and I walked away with 300 mil that day all thanks to him. I haven't flown a Ferox since that day.
