Here's a great little thing idea. As a safeguard against scammers when buy orders are created that are ridiculously overpriced can we not have the same warning appear prior to acceptance indicating the preposterous price your about to pay is x% above the market price. This would not prevent scamming per se but rather slow them down and give people a heads up as to a potential trap. I was greedy and should have known better but got caught out by just lazily pressing enter twice without closely checking what I was saying yes to. If not this warning then at least disable the enter button and require a mouse click to confirm. Failing this can we just banish those Jita graffiti posters to somewhere in a wormhole, preferably a C6.
Many thanks

Here's a great little idea. Double check the numbers before you hit enter. We don't need more warnings to protect you from your own stupidity.

As to Jita local. You know that vertical bar separating the chat pane from the player list pane? Move it as far to the left as it will go, and you don't see the spam anymore.

I take it from your post that you are a scammer and want to maintain your prosperous position. I don't see it doing you any harm. If you don't like the warning you may always tick the box that says " I know what I'm doing don't tell me this crap again".

Margin Trading victim detected.

Always check the price before you buy. And if it looks too good to be true... it probably is.

Just accept that you got greedy and learned the hard way that this trick exists. Now get up, dust off, and keep going.
It's really no different from warp scramming a rookie who has no prior knowledge of PvP or the aggression rules.

Based off of this logic, anyone who thinks that you need to stop being lazy, stupid, or both MUST be a scammer. I guess you can include me in the group of "scammers". If you got a raw deal because you failed to take the time to carefully look over a sell order or public contract that got linked to local, ESPECIALLY if it's in one of the hubs and ESPECIALLY if it's in JITA, it's nobody's fault but your own. I suggest you learn from your mistake rather than ask CCP to waste their time adding features that will be useless because people like you will just end up ignoring them anyway.

Negative infinity, because a -1 just won't cut it for this one.

Nope, not a career scammer. Doesn't mean I never scammed anyone, just don't do it where people expect to find a scam. No, what I really am is anti anything to protect the terminally stupid keep playing this game. Learn your lesson after falling for a scam, maybe help others avoid the scam, but don't ask CCP to do your thinking for you.

so the little arrow that tells you if something is above or below regional average isn't enough AND the fact it's colour coded AND the "are you sure you want to buy this" message box you want yet another box to ask you if you're sure you want to buy something? Lets be honest if you're not sure after all that then you don't really want it anyway

Hoo har

No hard feelings. I certainly was stupid. Actually I was more greedy than stupid. I'm just looking out for those who are more stupid than me. Ive already moved on and taken the loss it's just Internet spaceship money after all. I actually gave props to the scammer for 'pulling the wool' so to speak.

Not everyone in this game is pro but it seems like all are expected to be if they post in this forum. All the posts so far seem to think that an element of protection/caution is a negative aspect. Why can't we have it both ways and turn off the stupid button if we're too pro to care is all I'm saying.

Anyways if you see me in Jita I'll probably get ganked by the Marmite crew when carrying all my vindicator bpc's from null. Then I'll really start shouting for a refund and ask for my boats to be permanent invulnerable.

Mnnnn maybe an idea for a new feature/module......
